[Feature Request] Focus the search field for "Link to" integration with word processors

Hi, I use Scrivener and there is "Link to" integration with Bookends using ⌘Y which is very efficient. However when I switch from Scrivener to BE, IMO it would make sense that the search field in the toolbar was focussed. That would mean I could press ⌘Y in Scrivener then immediately type ...

Re: [Feature request] Search Selected Text in Pubmed?

Thanks Jon, defaulting to Pubmed would certainly help. One other problem with Bookends browser is its speed. I assume it doesn't use a cache because it it much slower at loading pages than my browser. Sometimes it seems to be waiting for resources and until everything is in, including all the advert...

[Feature request] Search Selected Text in Pubmed?

I use the bookmarklet to import from my web browser to Bookends browser extensively. Sadly quite a few sites fail to import from the bookends browser (they fail to support COiNs or use all sorts of non-standard metadata etc.). Also even if COiNs is supported, the import often fails to have an abstra...

Re: Collaborating between Endnote and Bookends

Both BE and Endnote seem to work OK with just Page numbers, which is an option Endnote offers: Screen Shot 2016-02-09 at 08.56.15.png One slight annoyance is the BE option to use content can make the temp citation very long: {Self and Roelfsema, 2015, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences ...

Re: [Feature Request] Drag References onto Tags?

Although using the tag cloud would be a one-window solution, that certainly works for me, thanks Jon!

[Feature Request] Drag References onto Tags?

Hi, not sure how others add keywords quickly, especially to multiple references, but one quick way as a possible future feature would be to add keywords to several references by dragging from the list to a tag in the tag cloud? Feasible?

Why no Trash folder in Bookends?

Hi, my 11month old Son got to my laptop while I was distracted and managed to hammer on the delete and enter keys and deleted some references. I had a backup, but it did make me curious as to why Bookends doesn't have a Trash folder like Endnote, Scrivener or the OS itself?

Collaborating between Endnote and Bookends

I'm about to start writing several collaborative papers working with a Windows+endnote(X7.4) colleague. My usual workflow is Scrivener+Multimarkdown-->ODT+Bookends[1]. Now I can switch to Endnote(X7.5beta)+Word 2016 (I have licences for both), but I really don't want to stop using Bookends (or Scriv...

Re: Cloud syncing?

This maybe slighly off-topic, but 1Password have just released a new version and they say Apple have changed the requirements for iCloud and now non-app-store apps can now sync using it, as long as the dev has an app-store version too: https://blog.agilebits.com/2016/01/12/agilecloudkit-icloud-sync-...

Re: [wish] Don't use a modal dialog to confirm an import

Just to say this is working perfectly in 12.6.4 (using the OS X notifications system too), and will speed up doing lots of importing. Thanks Jon!

Re: AutoFill and missing PMIDs? Or a "Get PMID" Command

Sorry Jon, I thought the main point of the issue we're working through tech support was when we had a DOI then tried to "Autofill" the rest, but yes it probably must be that my "autofill" not working and my "Get DOI" not working are part of the same problem.

Re: AutoFill and missing PMIDs? Or a "Get PMID" Command

That doesn't seem to work for me (apart from taking two actions, each of which blocks the GUI until it completes). For example: @Article{Alexander2015, author = {Alexander, David and Trengove, Chris and van Leeuwen, Cees}, title = {Donders is dead: cortical traveling waves and the limits of mental c...

Re: AutoFill and missing PMIDs? Or a "Get PMID" Command

Even if I delete my application support folder, create a new library still not working for me. I'll contact support. The second request still kind of stands, if there is no DOI and PMID but an article is on Pubmed having a "Get PMID" command would be great. Endnote has a "Find Referen...

Re: AutoFill and missing PMIDs? Or a "Get PMID" Command

Yes, I've tried both and they failed for me, here is an example ref with a working DOI that fails (exported as BibTeX, it is present in pubmed as PMID: 21151887 / PMCID: PMC2998442): @Article{Brown2010, author = {Brown, Timothy and Gias, Carlos and Hatori, Megumi and Keding, Sheena and Semo, Ma’ayan...
