Re: Extract highlights cum BE unique identifier
Thank you, Jon. I understand that it is now possible to add a header above all quoted sections from a PDF, and that this header can be configured to output as the relevant Bookends temporary citation. My question was more specific. To reiterate is it possible to automatically pair each quoted sectio...

Re: Extract highlights cum BE unique identifier
Hello again, I've now finally downloaded the latest version of Bookends and am very happy to see the changes made to PDF annotation. However, having gone through the available documentation, I'm still not sure if what I wanted to achieve is now possible. To reiterate my original request: Is there a ...

Extract highlights cum BE unique identifier
Has anyone come up with a way to extract PDF highlights and comments, either directly from Bookends or via some dedicated PDF app, where each quoted block is automatically paired with the Bookends unique identifier and page number in the resulting document?
Thanks for any pointers!

Restore deleted style
Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm finishing a thesis and in a bit of a hurry... I deleted a style from the formats manager (Turabian 7th edition), thinking this was the way to return the style to its default version (I think I read that somewhere sometime), but it appears it is simply gon...

Re: Feature request: temporary citation tool tip
Thank you Jon, and point taken. I was really hoping for some workaround. I will cite by content in the future but with my current project (which is in its final stages) this won't be of much help. Would you kindly specify how to use Floating Citations to look up the reference? This did occur to me, ...

Feature request: temporary citation tool tip
Hi, I'm writing in Scrivener, using temporary citations with footnotes. When quoting many works of the same author, I often find myself reduced to guessing which work a placeholder (in curly brackets) refers to. (The guesswork is compounded by the fact that some of my sources are republications, mea...

Auto-populate group with references used in document?
Hello! Perhaps this is a strange request, perhaps it isn't. I'm writing up my PhD thesis which has a lot of references in it. My Bookends PhD library is even larger, about four times the number of titles found in the thesis. Here's the thing: I would like to double-check and harmonise all my referen...

Bookends Word plugin not working
Hi, I've been using Bookends for some time without any issues but now it is failing me and I have no idea why. When I try to scan a Word document (compiled from Scrivener, if that matters) the Bookends plugin seems to be doing its work at first. That is, it takes me to Bookends where a window opens ...

Re: Optimal combination of DT and BE?
I managed to make it work after all, sort of. I've successfully imported the script to KM, and when I invoke the script via the hotkey I assigned to it the dialogue window does indeed pop up. But after I've filled in the various fields (title, page number, comment etc.) the script, rather than creat...

Re: Optimal combination of DT and BE?
I just realised there's a trial version of Keyboard Maestro. I'm a little embarrassed to ask, but after a week of getting into both BE and DTP I'm lacking the willpower to learn the intricacies of yet another app: would anyone kindly give me some quick advice on how to implement terrydev's KM script...

Re: Optimal combination of DT and BE?
Late to the conversation, but I have to say I'm in awe of terrydev's workflow, and will try to emulate it. Thanks to the KM macro he's posted in this thread, this shouldn't be too difficult. I've been trying to accomplish something very similar these past couple of days on the DTP trial version (wit...
