Re: IOS 13 Public Beta 5
In addition with my upgrade from public beta 4 to public beta 5 all my attachments were not appearing in bookends. It seems that the attachments were removed from iOS in iCloud and need to be re-downloaded. I don’t have a good download speed where I am so I am not sure that downloading is actually t...

Re: Google Scholar Advanced Search on iOS
Advanced search doesn’t always behave as it should, e.g, when I place ‘American Economic Review’ in return articles published in for some date range I get many google books but no articles actually published by AER. This kind of behavior happens very often making the advanced search function quite u...

Re: iPad reading in landscape mode two page view issue
I just sent a screenshot. It appears to be an issue with all the PDFs I have been opening. First page is rendered as single but all others come in pairs. When I export them to another app the are back to normal.

iPad reading in landscape mode two page view issue
Recently I have noticed that when reading PDFs in landscape mode (holding iPad horizontally) pages are rendered side-by-side two pages together rather than one page at a time. This wasn’t the case in the past. Is there a way to revert to single page view as applies to viewing when holding ipad verti...

Re: Help needed: Indexing Bookends attachment folder with Devonthink
DTP administrator replied to my query on their forum. Apparently, app generated folders in iCloud cannot be indexed with DT for now. I asked them if they expect this to be supported in the future as I don't want to lose my auto syncing with iOS.

Re: Help needed: Indexing Bookends attachment folder with Devonthink
Unfortunately I am syncing with iOs...I do most of my reading and annotating from my iPad. I guess I could go back to wifi syncing but the iCloud auto syncing is really convenient.

Re: Help needed: Indexing Bookends attachment folder with Devonthink
Thanks Jon, I have contacted DT support but they have not been very helpful. I did find this thread on their forum which suggests that despite the presumed capacity of DTP to index iCloud it is not really the case. Apparently many users have the same problem. http://forum.devontechnologies.com/viewt...

Re: Help needed: Indexing Bookends attachment folder with Devonthink
Thanks Jon,
Yes, it is strange that the iCloud generated folder is not indexed by DTP especially given other iCloud generated folders from apps like PdfExpert are indexed without an issue.

Help needed: Indexing Bookends attachment folder with Devonthink
I have my Bookends attachment folder in iCloud and when I try to index my pdfs with Devonthink Pro it does not not respond. When I contacted support at Devonthink they told me that I need to setup the Bookends attachment folder outside iCloud and then drag it into iCloud (rather than having it as a ...

Re: Bookends for iOS released
Thanks Jon and Serge, All attachments are in the root folder of Bookends in iCloud and it seems that my ios devices are gradually being populated. I have a very large library so that may be the reason it is taking some time. I am noticing now that most attachments that weren't transferred to iCloud ...

Re: Bookends for iOS released
Jon, I tried the drag and drop but this resulted in two attachments per reference (one active and one not). The Global Change -> Consolidate Attachments worked fine for a few references so I decided to do it for all references. Most of my references got transferred successfully to the iCloud folder ...

Re: Bookends for iOS released
Serge, I case you didn't see my previous edit (as we posted concurrently) I have set iCloud in preferences for storage. Nothing seems to be happening...How will I transfer my attachments from their initial location to iCloud? Do I need to press the "Remove from arbitrary attachment folders"...

Re: Bookends for iOS released
Great news on the new BoT. I am using Box.net for all my pdfs and I have my bookends library in the Box cloud. Am I right in assuming that with the new BoT I can only sync attachments via iCloud? If so, I will now need two subscriptions (one for BoT and one for iCloud). Is there a way to sync with t...

Re: Notecards with Quoted Text
Hello Serge,
What are the "smart export/import functionality to be able to replace current PDF with edited version from one of that apps"? Are these present now in BOT or are they coming in BOT2. Thanks, Andreas
