Import EndNote XML via the Clipboard... ?
Is there some way to do this?
When I select XML (EndNote or Sente) in the Import References dialog, the clipboard option gets disabled.
I tried EndNote Export (Refer) but it doesn't seem to find the XML on the clipboard.
TIA

Re: Importing references from New Worldcat site
I also tripped over this. At first, I thought it was temporary/transitional, but evidently no. Not only have they removed support for reference managers like Bookends, but they apparently no longer support a number of common human-readable bibliography formats. It's just astonishing that the Worldca...

Possible to Refresh/Rename All Attachments...?
I have a library with a bunch of PDF attachments. A number of the references had incorrect info, which I have fixed, but the attachment filenames were generated with the old, incorrect info. Is there a way to refresh/rename all the attachments beased upon the current, corrected data in the reference...

Searching the Notes field of a reference
Let's say I've got a bunch of references whose Notes fields are filled with a few dozen paragraphs of text each. I can do a global search to find the references that contain a string, but is there a way to do a search through the notes text of an individual reference? I mean something like this: htt...

Scrollbars broken
Pasting a combination of Japanese and English text into the Notes field of a reference appears to break the scrollbars: https://pasteboard.co/lsbDqsv0m1TE.png I can scroll using the scroll wheel on the mouse, but not by dragging the scroll bar itself. It appears that there are in fact two scroll bar...

Re: Importing from WorldCat and Custom fields
EDIT: I got to the next step. Will continue chipping away at the Import Filter.

Re: Importing from WorldCat and Custom fields
Thanks for your offer to help. I started on it, but the documentation for JAPAN/MARC is a bit daunting.
I'll keep chipping away and post a follow-up after I've made some progress.

Re: Importing from WorldCat and Custom fields
Thanks for the pointer. I'm reading the User Guide now. If I create import filters for these Japanese academic databases, would you be interested in including them in future updates of Bookends? As for the other problems, I wonder if they could be caused by the fact that I'm still on High Sierra (10...

Re: Importing from WorldCat and Custom fields
Sorry to ask a dumb question, but I must be doing something wrong — or maybe several things. Using the Bookends Browser, I opened the MARC tags link from this page: https://iss.ndl.go.jp/books/R100000002-I026968769-00 The MARC tags load, the encoding is messed up, but maybe(?) it'll parse okay. It l...

Re: Importing from WorldCat and Custom fields
I was hoping there might be some way to do this without saving files for each reference.
In any case, thanks again for explaining the steps.

Re: Importing from WorldCat and Custom fields
Thanks for clarifying. I was wondering what COinS is about. I looked at the data on the page I get from WorldCat (@class="Z3988") and indeed it's just minimal. Any work-around? What about reading other formats? For example, on this page: https://iss.ndl.go.jp/books/R100000002-I026968769-00...
