Re: Conditional page number formatting

Thanks. Any way I can change the page number prefix just for an article, but not say for a book?

I don’t want to have to remember what type a reference is when I cite it, I just want to cite it and let the formattting so the work.

Conditional page number formatting

My apologies if this is indeed in the guide and I've missed it. I'm trying to get a particular tweak to a formatting style. For my style guide, most things are cited with the page reference preceded by a comma and a space, e.g. {Porter, 1989, #94439@55–57} is expanded to: Stanley E. Porter, Verbal A...

Re: Full screen on secondary screen seems broken

Continued: If I move this window to be full screen on my "primary" monitor, the reference display works fine: Bookends_primary_text.jpg [EDIT: realized that the 100% height PDF is a "full screen PDF thing" that is apparently a feature, not a bug. But unexpected! In any case, the ...

Re: Full screen on secondary screen seems broken

I've found there to be weird things with drawing too. Usually in full screen clicking on one type of display then back again seems to refresh, but not always. Here's some screenshots that might be helpful. Bookends 13.0.2, macOS 10.13.1. Setting bookends to full screen on secondary monitor (I've got...

Re: PDF pane display is limiting

Also FYI there seems to be a bug in the right-pane PDF view clicking the + button, but I've also submitted a bug report via email.

Re: PDF pane display is limiting

What I mean by #1 is that it's possible, but it's just not nice: reading a long portrait-formatted PDF in a landscape window is less than pleasant. And having both panes open to the PDF, or having to switch between them, feels inefficient and frustrating. If I keep the right pane open to the PDF, th...

Re: PDF pane display is limiting

2 things:
- information density for editing information while looking at the document itself
- tabs for multiple different resources to switch back and forth. To my knowledge I can't add those alternative-reference-tabs to the right hand pane.

PDF pane display is limiting

I can't tell you how much I'd love to be able to switch the PDF pane and the details pane (especially now with PDF tabs). My screen is much wider than it is tall, and seeing more of my attached file(s) to read them is so much more efficient. Bookends-pane-switch.jpg I know I can use the Attachments ...

"Output text as..." setting doesn't stick

My setting for "Scan & Bib" --> "Output text as..." gets reset when I try to scan a plain text file. I'm writing in Markdown, with a custom citation format that generates markdown-friendly output. (I then pass it along to a pandoc/latex workflow.) The text files are saved as ...

File encodings on scan

Hi. I'm trying to put a document scan into a plain text work flow (Markdown, actually). I'm running into two separate problems, which may well both be related to text encoding. 1) If I put an en dash (or another unicode character) in the temporary citation page range, e.g. a page range #6543@23–34, ...
