Re: superscript citations

Good to know about Mellel -- will check it out.

Actually, yes, it was set up to create the doc in a new window. And now that I've changed that, and....it works. :D

Thank you!!

Re: superscript citations

Yep, I wondered if the whole 'adding a space' thing was some default in Word. I think it's about time for me to switch to another program. LOL

After reading what you said about the style sheet, I went back in and can see that Word seems to actually change the style sheet when I hit "unscan." For ...

Re: superscript citations

Perfect -- thanks so much, Jon.

When I scan the document the first time, the superscripts show up perfectly. But if I go back and add another reference and then scan the document again, the previous superscripts all become *very* tiny and unreadable. (I notice if I then 'unscan' the document, the ...

superscript citations

Hi, Jon -- Newbie question here, sorry I can't seem to figure this out.

I'd like to have the citations in the body of my document appear as superscript numbers and have the bibliography/reference page at the end appear in APA format. (I know APA format doesn't use superscript numbers -- but this ...

Re: Find out which group(s) an article is stored in?

Great -- thanks so much, Jon. The shortcut you gave works perfectly. I'm trying to figure out how to get the Groups to display on the right side of the screen but can't quite seem to get it. Do I go to Bookends -> Preferences -> Refs and then change one of the Field Labels to "Groups" and then ...

Re: DOI formatting

Actually, I see now that I can alter this formatting using the "Formats Manager" tab. Here is the Field Order that is showing currently for journal articles (APA 6th edition):

a. (d). t. [u14]. [u10]. f, v(i~)~|~, ~p-`.` {$doi:$u17^$Retrieved from $z}

Should I just change it to this instead: a. (d ...

DOI formatting

When exporting citations from Bookends, how can I set it up so that the DOI information appears in the updated "https" format? The APA is recommending a new DOI format that looks something like this:

https://doi.org/10.xxxx/xxxxxxx

Find out which group(s) an article is stored in?

Hi -- Is there a way to find out which group(s) I've stored a particular article in? For example, if I do a search in the "All" group and find a particular article in the search results that come up, is there some way that I can find out which static group(s) I have saved that article to?
