Hi.
Is there any way to customize the top menu?
I'd really like to to insert an icon for the Autocomplete Paper option (I tend to forget how to automatically add reference data when Im adding a new PDF, and it is a little confusing).

Re: Search pdf annotations (notes) created in other editors
This is really helpful. Ive been using Macs for so long and never realized that annotations aren't index in Spotlight. It works with DEVONthink. Makes me wonder, can a Bookends library be stored in DEVONthink.... not that I would want to.

Re: Autocomplete on iOS?
So the DropBox model has a little issue. For some reason, after the import, there are two references, one has an attachment and the other doesn't. I created a fresh library with no references and the same thing happens. I also tried it with iCloud, same result. Im wondering why this would happen. Th...

Re: Autocomplete on iOS?
Im using copy, instead of move so that I can use the watch folder to audit to make sure I don't miss any files. Part of it may be just starting to trust and learn BE. The PDF's I would put in the watch folder would probably not have a DOI or immediate reference, so I want to quickly put it in the Wa...

Re: Autocomplete on iOS?
A potential solution is to save PDFs to a Dropbox folder (using Files on iOS). This folder should be one that is "watched" by Bookends. If one leaves Bookends running on macOS, the PDFs will be taken in and auto-completed. Via sync, Bookends for iOS will be updated. Of course, this is not...

Re: Autocomplete on iOS?
So in iOS, If I don't have the DOI and only a PDF, after uploading a PDF, is manually adding the citation info the only way to update the citation information?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Different spotlight search queries needed in BE
Spotlight search is it's own beast, not to be compared with any other kind of search. Bookends just submits the request, what happens after that is a function of the APIs written by Apple. Jon Sonny Software Oh, I thought this was something you could program on your side. Thanks for the clarificati...

Re: Different spotlight search queries needed in BE
The wildcard works for me properly. However, when the PDF displays, the partial word search works in the Attachments pane when I look for the word in the PDF once it's open. It feels inconsistent as a general search rule: Search "this way" here, but search a different way "there".

Re: Different spotlight search queries needed in BE
Thanks, Jon. In my actual case the hyphenated word was a highway name or something that I didn’t know would have a hyphen. Something unique like “Main-Boston Road” and I couldn’t find the word Boston in BE but could find it from the Finder. I’ll submit a feature request that BE search have an option...

Different spotlight search queries needed in BE
Hi, Im new to Bookends and really enjoy the app so far (I am a Sente refugee). I'm noticing that a search outside of BE in Spotlight for "free" will show the correct PDF in the results that has the word "sugar-free" in the file, but, in Bookends, it can't find "free" whe...
