When i said I do back-up manually, i meant File>Backup. not that I back up outside Bookends.
I have found the main file and shall not clear menu in future so that I open the main file.

I note that the auto back-up minimum is every 1 day. Which means that if i want to ...

I named my new library 'Law Library.bdb (Law Library with with bdb prefix)

3. You don't have to have PDFs renamed when you import -- uncheck the "Rename" box in the import dialog.
