Also really looking forward to Bookends dark mode...
I'm curious when the novelty will wear off though. Did the switch only a couple of days ago

Re: Bookends Tools, an Alfred workflow of 10 different functions
@iandol Is there a difference in the API call your Alfred uses to the regular export functionality in Bookends? To summarise I basically wonder: - How would I encode a subscript/ superscript in my Bookends library (CO|2|, CO~2~, CO$_2$)? No preference, whatever people suggest - To be honest, I find ...

Re: Bookends Tools, an Alfred workflow of 10 different functions
Hi. I go from Bookends to Scrivener (with Alfred or by typing the cite keys)... Then compile to MarkDown (scrivomatic/ pandocomatic)... I do have a fair bit of references with chemical symbols (CO2, N2O, ... 15N). Now, in the Text in scrivener I simply write them in Markdown (N~2~O, CO~2~, ^15^N, .....

Re: BUG (?): Render issues in split-view mode (MacOS 10.13.3 beta)
Thanks for the update to this issue in .4 Jon ! One minor quirk remains for me though: I can only have the reference list in the left/main window _OR_ the PDF/attachment view when using SplitView, but not both... All the other panels seem to work though. WordCloud and online view function as expecte...

Re: Tell me about your paper-writing bookends workflow
Yes, that was my idea. If it's not a BE feature, I might just run an apple script from time to time (or even have it triggered automatically [only modifying/ filling keys not adhering to the universal cite key format / aka bibtex keys] - like an auto-export of the library as a bib file). I read some...

Re: Tell me about your paper-writing bookends workflow
Regarding integration with Endnote users: has anyone discussed the use of universal citekeys as proposed and used by the Papers guys....? Would that be a useful (external?) addition to the Bookends workflow? As an alternative to the buildin generate bibtex citekey? I kind of like the idea and implem...

Re: Tell me about your paper-writing bookends workflow
Hi. I'm in Earth/ Geo Sciences (modelling, climate, ecosystem modelling...). @NilsMS: So how does your setup work? So you have the PDFs inside DTP? Or do you index your bookends PDF folder (because of iOS iCloud Sync )? I'm also switching to Scrivener3 at the moment and thus try to get into a new/ b...

Re: Bookends Tools, an Alfred workflow of 10 different functions
Should Workflow 6 export proper subscript / superscript ?!? I do not get them... However, it might just be that I do not fully understand the setup in Bookends  I enabled JSON output in the workflow variables (as suggested for speed) So in Bookends I have 'Scan and Bib' settings like this: - o...

BUG (?): Render issues in split-view mode (MacOS 10.13.3 beta)
Hi. I like to work with my editor (scrivener, atom) and bookends side by side on my 27" iMac (left Scrivener3, right Bookends). Usually I do this by just positioning the windows. Now I wanted to use split-view mode (you push the green botton in the window bar and position it to the left or righ...

Re: Tell me about your paper-writing bookends workflow
Thanks guys. That sounds quite reasonable. How are you using colors? Espcially on the iOS version they - for me - are the most striking classification tool visually - but what would I associate with it? Broad topics maybe (statistics, climatology, soil science, modelling, ...)? I really like this ta...

Tell me about your paper-writing bookends workflow
Hi. Hope this topic is of interest? I wonder how other people use bookends to efficiently write a scientific paper. I'm migrating from Papers3 and want to take the chance of starting fresh to optimize my workflow (who isn't ;-))... My main interest is: how do you organize your library ? 1) One large...
