Highlight all matching words of a live search
It might be possible to offer a drawer on the side rather than on the bottom, but although drawers work in Carbon apps (see Internet Search), there are some interface glitches I don't like. So I'm not keen on this (for other reasons as well). As for highlighting results -- I'm not sure of what you ...

Re: A dot at the end of a title leads to double dots in the bibliography
It would be preferable to illustrate this issue with an example. Within the Bookends library DemoLibrary.bdb, there are two references imported from distinct databases: https://file.io/TnzwriKPyYPb The reference by Baird et al. was retrieved from EMBASE in RIS format. The reference by Bergmeister et...

Re: A dot at the end of a title leads to double dots in the bibliography
The problem is that references imported from PubMed have a trailing dot, references imported from EMBASE do not. If I remove the dot in bibliography format, it is missing in EMBASE references. I would like to find an option that respects both title formats or find a simple solution to remove the dot...

A dot at the end of a title leads to double dots in the bibliography
Hi Jon, The titles of a PubMed search are imported with a trailing dot. This leads to double dots in bibliography formats, if the title is separated from the following information with a dot. The automatic replacement of duplicate characters when one or more fields are missing obviously does not wor...

Creation of a bibliography not at the end of the document
I have a large Word document with a long appendix with several chapters. The sections of the appendix also appear in the automatically generated table of contents. I would like to place the bibliography before the appendix. Is this possible?

Re: [Feature Request] Automatically Apply Word Paragraph Template When Scanning
Unfortunately, Word does not preserve the assigned paragraph style (Bookends 14.2 -- Word 16.73). The style sheet is always reset to "Normal + Left 0cm, Hanging: 0.95cm, After: 0pt, Line spacing: single". In addition, the Word Bookends add-in always adds one additional carriage return at t...

[Feature Request] Automatically Apply Word Paragraph Template When Scanning
It would be great if Bookends could automatically apply a custom paragraph template to the citations in the biography when running "Word > Bookends > Scan Document" from Word.

Re: Request: Wider region to resize panel widths
Screenshot.jpg There is a similar problem with the Formatted / Browser / Attachments / Tag Cloud panels. The area for resizing these panels is extremely small, especially on large screens. Interestingly, the area where the panel can be resized is a bit larger than the area where the cursor indicate...

Re: [Feature Request] Helpful Features for BibTeX Users
I found another tiny issue. Institutions are not exported correctly. For example, an author like "European Commission," (with a comma after the last character) is exported as author = {European Commission}, It should be exported as author = {{European Commission}}, Or is this again somethi...

Re: [Feature Request] Helpful Features for BibTeX Users
Jon, you may consider updating Appendix B of the Bookends manual, page 441. The screenshot for the BibTeX export shows the setting "Export as Styled Text" (this is what I did), but it should be "BibTeX Markup".

Yes, the "BibTeX Markup" option does the job. I have never looked at this option. Fantastic! Many thanks!

[Feature Request] Helpful Features for BibTeX Users
Hello Jon, I have a few ideas, how the life of BibTeX users could be facilitated. I have already read that Bookends to BibTex synchronization will not be implemented. This is a pity, but your point is plausible. As a BibTeX user, I have to export the bibliography over and over. I make all changes (a...
