Time Machine did not offer me an option for previous versions of the preference files. Luckily I have a propriety backup service running that allowed me find a previous versions of the file. I'm glad my customisations (most of them anyway) were recoverable.

Modified reference types have reverted to default names

Hi Jon,

For some reason the Reference Types which I have customised have reverted to generic names e.g. Unused 2. I don't know if only the name is affected or the settings as well. Is there a way to undo whatever has caused this?

I've created a new type called EU publication and when I choose Cite by: custom in Citation Options I can choose the name order that I wish as you describe.

However when I select a standard type i.e. Journal , the custom option is also assigned there (as opposed to author-date which I ...

citation options for different types

Is it possible to set citation options for different types when using a particular referencing style (Harvard).

I would like to use one configuration of Author, Date for journal articles and another for EU publications i.e. "Atkinson, B" vs. "European Commission", for example.

Is this doable ...
