@Jon: Yes, indeed pasting the link with Shift-Option-Command-V makes the link active in Craft! Thanks a lot for your help! You made my day.
Best regards! Martin

Re: Bookends and Hookmark
When using "copy hypertext link" I get this result in Craft: bookends://sonnysoftware.com/ref/MW%20Bookends%20Library/86881 But to use this as a link I have to create a link in Craft first and then paste this in. Then it links back to the correct library entry. Thus, this means extra work ...

Re: Bookends and Hookmark
Hi Jon, Thanks for your very quick reply! This is what a link looks like in Craft: (copied out of an actual Craft document) %5BAgusti,%20A.,%20Gibson,%20P.%20G.,%20&%20McDonald,%20V.%20M.%20(2023).%20Treatable%20Traits%20in%20Airway%20Disease:%20From%20Theory%20to%20Practice.%20J%20Allergy%20Cli...

Re: Bookends and Hookmark
The ability to create links to individual papers in Bookends has been one the most important reasons for me to return to Bookends (I'm very happy for other reasons as well!). But since this last update my links don't work as I want them to. I used to invoke Hookmark after selecting an entry in Booke...

Re: Marooned Attachments Manager
Unfortunately this story is not over yet. I started the tedious work of checking marooned PDFs before deleting them. And on several occasions I discovered a problem: A reference that should include the PDF in question shows: "Can't find file ..." where the PDF should be. If I then attach t...

Re: Marooned Attachments Manager
Thanks for your quick reply!
Concerning 2 (practical way to handle thousands of marooned files):
Some of the PDFs there are duplicates (I already have the entry and the attached PDF in my Bookends library) but some of them don't have entries in Bookends. Distinguishing these is my problem.

Marooned Attachments Manager
Hi All, After trying to figure out what "marooned" (I wasn't familiar with this word) attachments might be, I opened the marooned attachments manager and I am quite confused. It gives me 4894 files (My library contains 6769 entries - almost all with PDFs attached). But some of these files ...

Re: Keywords syncing between different Macs
"You mean words in the Keywords field? That's just like any other field. Do other fields also not sync (e.g. authors, title, etc.)?" Yes, indeed. But I just realized my mistake: I looked in the terms list - but when I went to "update fields" it updated (...) and alas the synced ...

Keywords syncing between different Macs
One of the reasons I returned to Bookends (after experimenting with Papers App) was that I discovered that I could use keywords as "tags" to allow me to better select multiple references into specific groups for preparing lectures or publications. But somehow these keywords don't sync betw...

Matthias! Your script is perfect - it saved me lots of time and effort and really motivated me to invest more time and effort into Bookends!

Re: Migration from Papers to Bookends including PDFs
Something is not working for me when I follow the instructions that you gave (https://www.sonnysoftware.com/bookends/ ... mport.html). When selecting "File -> Import From Papers 3" I get "references where not sent by Papers 3."
Any idea where the mistake might be?

Re: Rename attachments
That looks very promising indeed. But how do I create the new entry? The manual says there should be a "plus" button. But where is this button?

Migration from Papers to Bookends including PDFs
What is the best way to migrate from Papers to Bookends including PDFs? The instructions for moving the library are clear and they do work. But they don´t move or copy the attached PDFs into the bookends folder. Is there an easy and reliable way to do this? Since I am new to Bookends and still not c...
