Re: Remove URL from Citation

Thanks Jon,

I didn't realize where to go, but after some searching based on your advice, I realized I needed to go to Biblio > Formats Manager. I've edited it and it works as needed.

Appreciate the help.

Remove URL from Citation

How do I change the format of my citation so that the information in URL is not included for journal articles? For example, I want the entry to be: Kaplan, R., & Kaplan, S. (1989). The Experience of Nature: A Psychological Perspective . CUP Archive. Instead of this, which is what happens when I ...

Re: This is embarrassing, but how did I do this?

You're right!

It's a DT thing -- File > Import > References from Bookends.

Thanks for helping me narrow the path,
Beck

This is embarrassing, but how did I do this?

In Devonthink, I have a Bookends icon and some references for an exam I took that are tied to a Bookends library. I'd like to create this in a new Devonthink database with a new Bookends library. Does anyone know how to do this? (Or should I be asking on the Devonthink threads?) Screen Shot 2020-05-...

Re: Navigating Search Results with Keyboard

Thanks for the update, Jon. The floating citation manager allows for a mouseless experience, so there are alternatives to keep one's hands on 10 and 2, so to speak.

I mean the search in the top right and the search result lists. I've attached an annotated screenshot.

Navigating Search Results with Keyboard

Hi all, I'm using Scrivener to write and the ⌘Y icon to go back and forth from Bookends to enter citations. I figured out that when I first get into Bookends after typing ⌘Y, I can press TAB to activate the search without using my mouse. Is there a mouseless way to jump down to the search results an...

Re: Linking to/from Tinderbox

Just heard back from Tinderbox's developer and wanted to follow up here in case any future users run into this. The bookends:// url is ported over in the drag, just not shown in the (TBX language alert) "key attributes" of the "prototype." It's stored in $URL. Adding $URL to the ...

Re: Linking to/from Tinderbox

Hi, Jon. I went over to the Tinderbox forum to do some searching and see on this post that you (?) wrote, "The hypertext link back to Bookends will be inserted" from the ⌘+OPTION drag move. Where does that link reside? I don't see it listed in the attributes associated with the Reference p...

Linking to/from Tinderbox

Hello, everyone. 👋 I use Devonthink, Tinderbox, and Bookends to map concepts, store, reference, and discover knowledge for my PhD in Information Science. Though I've used Bookends for several months, I've just joined the forum, and anticipate several future posts as I rely more heavily on it. Right ...
