The vcard format can be touchy (e.g., it doesn't like empty fields), but given that the iPhone & Address Book (on Macs) use v2.1, I've kept things in this format. That said, I haven't tried messing with v3.0 so I have no idea what to expect from it. What sort of information loss are you seeing? ...

talazem, is there anything common in the missing refs? An empty field that the address book is looking for?

Hi talazem, I think I've fixed the issue... Download the vcard for iPhone file again (I've updated it). It's now 2.1, which handles UTF-8 just fine in my testing *as long as* I create the exported file as ".utf8" (not .txt as I had previously stated), and convert the exported file to a .vc...
