Hi Jon, Thank you for the input. I’m not writing a journal article. I’m writing a book. I think it makes sense to cite by numbers. If the reader is interested in finding more about the topic, she can do so. If not, the small numbers within the text will not stop the flow of reading. Also, it is good...

Is it possible to create a custom format in Bookends where
1) cite by numbers
2) cite by a different number when referred pages are different even if the source material is the same
3) the referred page numbers are shown in the bibliography
