I have tried using the following snippet but it always renders Pages regardless of whether or not I list a single page or a range.

Re: Conditional use of Page or Pages
For example: When there is one page: Attridge, Harold A. “Jewish Historiography.” Page 311 in Early Judaism and Its Modern Interpreters . Edited by Robert A. Kraft and George W. E. Nickelsburg. Philadelphia: Fortress; Atlanta: Scholars Press, 1986. When there are multiple pages: Attridge, Harold A. ...

Conditional use of Page or Pages
I need to render the word Page when one page is referenced or Pages when multiple pages are referenced.
The example above renders the logic, and now I am trying to figure out how to replace p and pp, respectively, with page and pages.
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Code: Select all
$p. ^pp. $p-
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Multiple Last Names
I finally got some feedback from my supervisor: “Van” is always a part of the surname, so Frederick Van Zyl Slabbert in a works cited list becomes: Van Zyl Slabbert, Frederick. Here is some additional guidance: Afrikaans and French surnames with prefixes like Le, Van, Du, etc. are entered under the ...

Re: Multiple Last Names
You guessed correctly, I am using SBL. I have the SBL 2nd edition and could not find a definitive answer yet so I have punted this to my supervisor for review. I have learned that Slabbert is considered a last name on its own in South Africa and it's plausible that Van Zyl may be a middle name, Van ...

Re: Multiple Last Names
Incidentally, "van" in Afrikaans means surname and this is from a South African author so the lower case on the "van" may be appropriate. Hmmm, something for me to consider before making my final submission.

Re: Multiple Last Names
Well, exactly. I am not sure of the best way to cite this author as I have seen five ways now: 1. Slabbert, Frederick Van Zyl 2. Slabbert, Frederick van Zyl 3. Zyl Slabbert, Frederick Van 4. Zyl Slabbert, Frederick van 5. Van Zyl Slabbert, Frederick I am going to give it my best effort, keep it cons...

Multiple Last Names
Good morning, I can seem to find on the forum or figure out how to enter an author with spaces in their last name. For example, I have an author - Frederick Van Zyl Slabbert - who shows up incorrectly in my citations and bibliography as Slabbert. I recently switched over to Bookends so am still lear...

Re: Scan a document popup when inserting citation
The fix was to turn off Live Bibliography. However, there was also something wrong with the document, according to Mellel, and after creating a new document, the issue went away.

Re: Scan a document popup when inserting citation
UPDATE - if I turn off "Live Update" in the bibliography panel in Mellel the popup goes away until I do a manual scan when I am ready to generate my citations and bibliography. No other solution has presented itself at this time.

Re: Scan a document popup when inserting citation
I have rebuilt my bibliography, rebuilt my Mellel document, created new for both, and still, this issue persists. I am wondering if the latest security update from Apple is somehow affecting this because that is what has changed since yesterday, hmmm?!? Attached is the popup that occurs every time I...

Scan a document popup when inserting citation
My workflow was as follows: Write in Mellel Switch to Bookends and create citation Copy citation Bookends will switch automatically to Mellel Done Now when I copy the citation from Bookends into Mellel, Bookends will switch to Mellel but there will be a popup window that says "Scan a document&q...
