Re: Smart Groups list entire database when no criteria match
hmm, I've changed "words begin with" to "characters" but that still lists my entire database. I should note that as long as there are any matches that meet the criteria, the smart group works as expected. For example, since I use the string #tagged to distinguish between records I have processed ...

Smart Groups list entire database when no criteria match
Hello friends, I am puzzled by the behavior of my smart groups. When no records match the criteria of a smart group, the smart group lists the entire contents of the database instead of nothing. Maybe there's a logic to this, but it seems like a bug. If not, is there something I can do in ...

Re: How does one batch change star ratings?
Thanks, that's helpful. I vote for making this functionality a little more accessible in a future release (as it is for labels for example).

How does one batch change star ratings?
Hello friends, sorry to be obtuse because I expect this is simple, but I cannot figure out how to apply a star rating to multiple selected references... only the first in the selected list gets modified. I have a pretty large star-rated system that I'm making some organizational changes to, and ...

What is the preferred workflow to import from EBSCO?
Hello, I have a question similar to the one asked https://www.sonnysoftware.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=3944
but it's an old thread so I thought I'd reboot it:
I'm fairly new to Bookends, so I wanted to double-check my EBSCO importing workflow because it seems convoluted using the Bookends browser ...

Re: Reference links in a synced BibTex file?
Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I'm trying to reproduce one of the features of Zotero export when it is using the "Better BibLaTeX" export plugin . This apparently allows for storing a link directly to an individual bibliographical entry in the exported file, which can be parsed by the Obsidian ...

Reference links in a synced BibTex file?
Hello,
I am using an Obsidian plugin called Citations to read a synced BibTex file as a part of my literature note-taking in Obsidian. The plugin was built for Zotero, which has the capacity to export links to the Zotero records in the BibTex file. Does anyone know if there is a way to coax ...
