Re: Alternate icon for Bookends app?
OK, I think I found what I need at this site. It's listed as an iOS icon, but it works fine on macOS.

Alternate icon for Bookends app?
Until a recent update, I was happily using a darker version of the Bookends icon in my macOS dock. Since the last update (to 15.1.2), the app icon has reverted to what I believe is the standard icon with a lighter background. Where can I find the darker version? The standard icon closely resembles a...

Anyone using Tana together with Bookends?
I've been trying out Tana for taking notes on articles and books, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has succeeded in getting links produced by Bookend's "Copy Link" feature to work from within a Tana note. I've had no trouble with these links in several other apps (DEVONthink, Obsidian...

Re: That built-in Export to Bookends script in DEVONthink!
I do all my management of my literature in bookends directly. What is the advantage of combining both apps? Sorry for the late reply. I hadn't seen your post until today. I was already using DEVONthink before I began with Bookends, and I've since learned that Bookends will store and help organize e...

That built-in Export to Bookends script in DEVONthink!
Hi, folks, I'm sure most if not all of you who use DEVONthink and Bookends together are using DEVONthink's built-in export-to-Bookends script. I just learned about it today. It's a gem. It was already simple enough to link between Bookends references and items like PDFs stored in DEVONthink, but thi...

Include in bibliography a reference cited in a comment
I'm citing a reference in a comment which is not otherwise cited in the body of my paper. As a consequence, this reference is not picked up when Nisus Writer scans the document. Other than manually adding it to my bibliography, is there a way I can force a reference to be included in it? For example...

Re: Cited Pages in Parentheses after Pages for First Citation
Wow, Jon! That fixed it. I'm very pleased.
(Also, and I know this wasn't your primary motivation, but you just sold a license. I'd been in trial mode for about a week, but your prompt, competent help showed me that Bookends is a good investment. Thanks!)

Re: Cited Pages in Parentheses after Pages for First Citation
OK, here goes. I hope I'm providing what you're kindly asking for: (1) After scanning in Nisus (same results in Mellel): Ronald S. Hendel, “Genesis, Book of,” in Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary , 2:, 933, ed. David Noel Freedman, 6 vols. (New York, Doubleday: 1992). Should read " Anchor Yale Bible...

Re: Cited Pages in Parentheses after Pages for First Citation
Hi. Newby here, and very impressed with Bookends. As someone using the SBLHS2 format, I've already encountered what I believe to be the problem discussed in this thread. I suspect it's more to do with the SBL format than anything else. Still, I'm wondering if there's been a solution or workaround ot...
