Insert text inside a citation

Is it possible to insert a portion of text inside a citation (I need to use Chicago 15th)? For instance: {Gray, 2008, The Bob Dylan encyclopedia, xii, 756} (1st edition 2006) I would like to insert the text in parenthesis inside the citation. If I use the \ like this: {Gray, 2008, The Bob Dylan ency...

Bug Italian Filters

Dear Jon, I think that there is an issue with the two Italian filters: Iccu SBN Servizio Bibliotecario Nazionale. Any search will get the entries but they will not be displayed on the top list (Author, Title etc.) and importing them will import empty references. To clarify what I mean I include an a...

Re: Names of terms lists

Your explanation is now very clear! Thanks. I would ad this to the manual, otherwise a person get confused. I was looking for the list of journals name (and only Journals names) and I got a very long list that includes also the series of books (because the field in the database is the same, as you s...

Re: Names of terms lists

I am a little confused, sorry Jon. How do I get on the list of term lists the default one, namely, Authors, Editors, Journals, and Keywords? On my preferences I have (under Refs) chosen Book as my Default New Reference Type. It seems to me that If I have a book type I get Ser Title term list and I g...

Names of terms lists

According to the manual: You cannot remove the four default lists: Authors, Editors , Journals , and Keywords. But in the menu for term lists Editors is Ser editors and Journals is Ser Title. A little confusing. Another little mistake I have found: in the list of Import filter manager there a little...

Re: Request to Add WorldCat to Searchable Sites

Of course, you can access WorldCat via the web browser and easily collect the references that you find. But it would be better to have a direct search filter.

Re: Swiss libraries

Thanks Jon, as usual…
The fact is that the Swissbib site does not work on a z39.50 net.
I have found this:
Swissbib hat keine Z39.50 aber eine SRU-Schnittstelle: http://www.swissbib.org/wiki/index.php?title=SRU
I have no idea what a SRU is!!!
Thank you

Swiss libraries

It would be nice to have a filter for all the libraries in Switzerland.
Here is the link: https://www.swissbib.ch/
Thanks!

Re: Compare references

I totally agree with Jan!
When you have thousands of references it is very helpful to have a window to compare only two references and smoothly exchange text.
So I vote for a Compare References Window Revamped!
Thanks

Re: Compare references

Dear Jon, thanks for the quick and clarifying answer. I agree with you that the Compare References window was clunky and not working properly. And I see that you can open two windows references and exchange text on these two windows. BUT: 1. The Compare Reference window gives you immediately the pic...

Compare references

I really do not understand why an extremely important function was removed:

• The Compare References window is now read-only, it doesn't support copying of text from one reference to another.

WHAT!? This feature needed to be improved not removed!!!!!!!!

Disappointed.
