I have verified my database, and it still happens. However, I did notice that the title will appear if I close and reopen my database. It only fails to appear from the time I replicate the record until I close it for the first time. So, I guess it isn't that big of a problem. If you want to investig...

list view problem with replicate as book chapter in v9.1
In the latest version of BE, the replicate as book chapter command is working, but for some reason, the display of the new record in the list view is not working properly. After I add the chapter title to the duplicated record, the title will still not appear in the list view of records. However, in...

Shayne, I had another thought about being able to merge the transcription and kanji on one line in BE. Perhaps, Jon could add a feature in the filters that would allow one to specify how identical fields behave in certain kinds of records. I know the UCLA library is somehow able to distinguish the r...

Shayne, It seems like you've figured most of the problems out for MARC from US libraries, so you should be able to use the same filter for Japanese libraries. I know Waseda daigaku uses OCLC for creating their records, in other words, it uses MARC. I think you should be able to find a list of partic...

Suggestions for added Formatting Comands
Would it be possible for future versions of BE to add some features to the formatting of names in the format manager? In particular, I think the program could become much more versatile in the way "other" names are handled. Choosing which name (author or editor) that other names will follo...

page range question
FYI: It only seems to be happening in the reference type for Newspaper articles, which was one of the default types with BE. In the type I created for magazine, I don't seem to have this problem.

page range question
Has anyone encountered a problem displaying page ranges that are broken, as is often the case for magazines. For example, in the page field, I've input the following for the bibliography: 27, 36-42 (the article is begins on page 27 and is continued on pp. 36-42) Although I've selected the page range...

expanded notes window automatically closes
When I'm typing notes into an expanded window of the notes field, the window will unexpectedly close on me without saving any of the notes. Needless to say this has cost me a lot of extra time, and I would like to know if there is any way to solve this problem.

bug with issue number
I created a copy of the Chicago 14a formats to edit some of them to fit my personal preferences. While my edited formats work fine, I did nothing to the format of journal aritcles, and yet, it doesn't display the issue number correctly. Chicago 14a Journal Format = a. "t." f v$, no. $i` `(...
