Re: Introduction to Me

Thanks for posting. Getting data in and out of Bookends shouldn't be difficult. And Bookends works particularly nicely with DEVONthink and Tinderbox. If you have questions about features or process I'll try to help, and there are others on the forum who can no doubt be helpful the latter. Jon Sonny ...

Re: New User question

As for EZProxy, maybe try unchecking your Proxy server authentication in preferences. See if it works now. If not, please contact tech support directly (suppo...

Re: Feature request: temporary citation tool tip

A Proofreading scan will change your current citations to Content if you want. If you are using the unique id in the citation, call up Floating citations with the double tap of the trigger key and enter it, preceded by a # (e.g. #81232). The ref will then be shown in the floating citation window. Jo...

Re: Feature request: temporary citation tool tip

You want tool tips in Scrivener? That would be a feature request for Literature & Latte. Jon Sonny Software P.S. A tiny time-saving tip I can suggest is to use Floating Citations to look up the reference rather than switching to Bookends. Also, if you cite by Content instead of Author, Date, Unique ...

Re: iCloud Sync Requests

You've already submitted a tech support request for this issue (which is the correct thing to do). Please don't post the same thing on the forum. You'll hear from Serge when he's had a chance to read your issue.

Both in Find dialog (Command-F) and live search you can specify a search by unique ID. In live search you have to press Return to run it.

Re: Converting Bookends citations to BibTex Citations

In Scan & Bib you should set the citation separator to comma instead of semicolon.

If you have any problems with this please take this off-forum and contact tech support (support@sonnysoftware.com).

Re: Converting Bookends citations to BibTex Citations

You want to change them to \cite{citekey}? Tell Bookends to generate BibTeX citations (Preferences, BibTeX tab) and then do a proofreading scan on the document. Bookends show change the temp citations accordingly.

Re: Journal glossary in BibTeX export

In a format j = short name, f = full name. Both forms must be entered in the journal glossary you are using, of course, for this to work.
