RIS import
Probably a newbie question. I import a record in a RIS file, and I get something like this: MACABASAG, Nora, « ‚Äú WHAT ‚Äô S IN A NAME? ‚Äù : A STUDY ON THE MATTHEAN GENEALOGY (MT 1,1-17) Part Two», Revista B √≠ blica 80 (2018) 153-172. It should be: MACABASAG, Nora, «“WHAT’S IN A NAME?”: A STUDY O...

Re: 12.5 is a great update!
Another problem is that it is close to generic icons of text editors, including Apple's TextEdit and Pages. (To see what I mean about generic icons, do a Google image search first on "text editor icon" and then on "books icon" .) The similarity becomes especially problematic if ...

Re: Rearranging field order in Bookends 12.5.2
No doubt, rearranging fields is a most welcome feature. I remember myself asking for that a long time ago. 1- Now we can’t move separately the fields that are on the same line, for example "Ser Title" and "Volume", or "Pages" and "Year". There is no way to mov...

SQL/Regex help - find more than 3 author names
Hi, there
I want to search for references with more than 3 author/editor names. I assume this must be kind of easy with SQL/Regex, but I cannot figure out how to do it. Can anyone help me with this?
Thank you

Re: Bookends 12.5 Feedback
I like the new look of BE and especially Edit Reference section. Although I would like to be able to rearrange the field order, or at least having fields like Publisher, City, keywords, before Abstract and Note. Ads for the new icon, I kind of like it, but... I have both BE and Pages in my dock, and...

Re: Help with format
Thanks, Jon. This is already a sort of solution. In any case, I have to handle this manually, so to say (second solution being preferable in my case, since most of books have only one volume). I hoped there was a way in which BE can handle this cases automatically. Ok. I can live with that. Best wis...

Help with format
Hi, I need to handle in a citation format, for a Ref type 'book', different cases, which I cannot figure out how to do it. I copy this here in case anyone can give me some hint. A book can have just one volume or different volumes. In this second case, some books have a title for the volume and othe...

BE 11: awesome
Just a word of praise to Jon's work. I have spent a while without upgrading (from BE 10), and now with BE 11 I realized how much this already impressive app could still improve in just months. I congratulate myself too for having chosen BE when I started my dissertation several years ago. Kudos to y...

Re: Format different place names separator
Sounds fair enough. I will do it with new references, since editing the old ones would be a huge amount of work, not worth it.

Re: Format different place names separator
I thought so. But it is not such a big deal to edit that manually with find/replace. Much 'cleaner' than having different fields for that (there are cases with more than two place names, and the same situation goes for publishers), especially considering that it happens with at most, say, 5% of the ...

Format different place names separator
I have to deal with different formats for bibliographic refs and would like BE to handle one more thing, if possible. When a publication has two or more place names (normally it comes along with two or more publishers), in some formats we separate each publisher of place name with '–' (like 'Berlin ...

Dark color labels to background - white text
A small problem with the last update: If I choose to have color labels applied to background and only to first column, then with a dark background color I get text in white, which for the first column is ok, but for the other ones it is not. With white (or light blue) background and white text nothi...
