Re: Feature request: Smart group “Recently modified/read PDFs”
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, it’s an iOS issue. On the Mac I just open my PDFs from Bookends directly into my regular PDF reader which allows me to keep multiple PDFs open at a time. On the iPad, it’s more practical to use Bookends’ internal PDF reader because of syncing issues. Is there any way...

Feature request: Smart group “Recently modified/read PDFs”
Would it be possible to add a smart group of recently opened/read/modified PDF attachments? Often, I find myself reading multiple papers or books in parallel on my ipad, using Bookends’ built-in PDF Reader. It would be great if it were easy to switch between them, which right now is cumbersome (I ha...

feature request: search for publisher
Is there any way to search BoT libraries for a particular publisher? IF not, would this be a feature that would be easy to implement? Thanks.

Search/order references by date created/modified?
Perhaps I'm blind that I can't find this option, but is it possible to search or order references by the date that they were created or modified? This would be helpful for me, because I'm sometimes looking for references that I recently entered, or as sometimes happens, I am comparing two databases,...

filing hundreds of scanned pdfs?
I've decided to start digitizing (scanning and OCR-ing) a few hundred books and pamphlets that are not available in digital form (and are not yet in my Bookends database). For that purpose, it would be helpful to automate the creation of a bibliographic entry for each of the scanned pdfs. While Book...

Re: Changes to attachment files on Mac not syncing with BOT
That would be wonderful. Two thoughts: 1. Is there any way that Bookends could do the polling in the background, so that when BOT syncs, the list of changed files is already there? 2. If that's not possible, could the feature be implemented as an opt in / opt out feature? Something that users could ...

Re: Changes to attachment files on Mac not syncing with BOT
Yes, some kind of a flag system might work, although the ideal scenario would be for BOT to go through the attachment folder to compare the date when a pdf was last modified. The annotations from the iPad are easy to sync for users whose BE attachment folder is synced through Dropbox. Whenever I'm d...

Re: Changes to attachment files on Mac not syncing with BOT
Is there any news on how to handle the attachment syncing? There must be a better solution than renaming the attachment.

Re: Cloud syncing?
The problem with wifi syncing in my view is that it has to be done manually (so I have to remember to do it every time), and both BE and BOT have to be open at the same time. The advantage of a cloud-syncing service would be that the sync would happen in the background or upon opening the application.

Does anyone have updated Chicago formats that include things like blogposts, websites, etc.?
