Hmmm... I have a 70 MB document with a final 164 pages, that contains 65 images of full print quality, either JPG almost not compressed, or EPS. Since our project deals with images, there's simply no way this can be done without images. And to take them all out, scan the document, and put them back ...

Only a very limited amounts of entries?
Is Bookends just limited to a small number of entries and a very small Word text file? Going to the manual, I found that [#] pulls up the sequential number, whereas [%] references the "true" database-ID-number. For typical biographies like the ones I try to create, I guess [#] would be the way to go.

... OK found the problem - - - This copy - paste command does not work in list view at all - it works only once the reference window is opened! At this moment, I think it does make sense like that. At first I was looking for a duplicate command, but not having it prevents me from hitting it twice. I...

Why is the Copy - Paste Reference command, as used to duplicate entries for minor adjustments in case of several similar articles, entirely disabled in my Bookends? I have not found any situation where I could actually use this command, as it seems to be permanently grayed out. Thank you very much f...

Re: Can't even start Bookends 8!
if the hard drive name has a non-ASCII character (i.e. an accented character) Bookends won't launch I ran into this problem, too. I indeed had named my harddrive "magnetschnägg" ('magnetic snail', Swiss German... - using the a umlaut). I would not have thought that could be an issue in M...
