Database engine message
Hi Jon:
What does the following database engine error mean: "segment 927 is wrong. The last segment is 922" The user now can't copy the PubMed-downloaded reference into his library.
I've told the user to rebuild his database while we await an answer.
Cheers,
Rob

Customize toolbar?
Hello Jon:
Just migrated to a lovely Core2Duo MBP and BE v9.1 universal binary, but I spent so much time in the prefs menu that I wondered if it was possible to incorporate into a future release a "customize toolbar" command a la Safari etc where toolbar buttons (including Preferences!) could be ...

9.07 beta takes v9.06 s/n?
Hello there Jon;
Installed the 9.07 beta, and opened a converted copy of my library with it, and noticed that 9.07 is now registered, and v9.06 has become unregistered, so that it won't open my original library of 3000+ refs. Is that the case?
v9.07 looks to be a great beta, but beta nevertheless ...

Deleting refs: what happens to reference numbers?
Hi there Jon:
I've just finished writing my PhD dissertation, and the BE experience, on the whole, has been entirely positive, so thank you for a wonderful research tool!
I noticed that when I delete refs, the ref. numbers above the deleted one/s decrement to take the place of the deleted one/s--is ...

Heretical question...
Hi there Jon:
Apols if this has been asked before, but any plans for a Windoze version? I'm sure you've got enough other stuff to do, but several of my PC-crippled colleagues are eagerly eyeing off my BE in our EndNote site-licensed institution. If ever there was a case of choosing your H/W platform ...

Hi Rob, thanks for the suggestion. I'll think about color coding for attachments, but I don't think we'd offer different colors for different attachments. It would be rather time consuming to collect that info. And what if there was more than on attachment? Finally, I think that the vast majority ...

List View Attributes
Hello there Jon;
I'm a recent convert from EN too. Overall I am impressed with BookEnds, and also your level of support and feed back.
I wonder if it will be possible in a future version to change the font/character attributes in the List view. I would like to color-code those references that have ...
