Is there a way to force an iCloud update?
I am having an issue where a static group's contents are not updating. I tried rebuilding the index and verifying the Dbs on both my computers. I suspended then resumed syncing, but I have a static group in which a deletion is not syncing. Also: the total number of refs in my two devices' is listed ...

Re: [Feature Request] Share sheet "Quick add..." for selected text
Hi. I will second this request. I frequently do my reading on an iPad and reserve more complex tasks for the desktop. Being able to automate a quick add throughout iOS from selected text would be useful.

Re: Bookends PopClip extension
FYI, with as of Bookends 14, this no longer works but an be fixed I had to take the old extension ('Bookends.popclipextz') open it in BBEdit and change a parameter in the config.plist. Specifically, where you see: <array> <dict> <key>Name</key> <string>Bookends</string> <key>Bundle Identifier</key> ...

Re: File renaming and tag search bugs -- the fix
Thanks. For renaming, I use {author last name}- {Title} One issue I have now is that many titles end with a period. Thus I end up with Doe- My file..pdf Not a big deal, but is there any way to suppress the period in the title? I notice that Bookends suppresses double periods for citations (I think),...

Re: Secure Input blocks function of TypeIt4Me
Thanks.
Interesting. When I log in to the proxy server in Safari, Secure Input is not invoked.
So, it seems, the solution for me is to use Safari along with Bookends, rather than the Bookends browser....

Secure Input blocks function of TypeIt4Me
When using the Bookends browser, I frequently have to log in to my University's proxy function. That works fine, but then I get a message from TypeIt4Me (a text expander that I find useful) that "Bookends has enabled Secure Input. This prevents TypeIt4Me from expanding abbreviations" I und...

Hi, I use Launchbar and would also be very grateful if you could post the script so I could modify it for Launchbar.
It looks great!

references not autofilling imported PDFs
Since the latest update (I think) Bookends has stopped being able to import reference data for PDFs dropped onto it, despite finding a DOI. This is true for multiple journals. Does anyone know a way to figure out what is going on? thanks

Re: Frequent need to rebuild the database . . .
Yes, I always did a rebuild, but a few days later, it would again detect problems.
I will do a repair and see if that fixes it.
thanks

Frequent need to rebuild the database . . .
I recently have been finding that I am frequently prompted by the app on opening to rebuild the database (due to found "problems")
A defragment and compact did not stop this.
Any advice out there?
thanks
