Thanks Iandol for the script.
As I have a similar problem, can you explain the step by step procedure for running it with Alfred, at least for the arguments required? I am using your Bookends Tool, but I am not expert enough with Ruby.

Re: BibTex export - protect capitalisation
Dear Iandol, I tried to run the script below, but it complained that fixcase.rb could not be found. I also tried to create an application with Platypus, but I did not see working either. May I ask you where the script below and Fixcase.rb should be saved in order to make the script running? Thanks, ...

Re: BibTex export - protect capitalisation
Dear Iandol, as the moment I am using your BookendstoBibtex script automation in Alfred, with the option to protect the titles. I can use even the script, which I believe I would use from the terminal nonetheless, but I am a bit over some deadlines, so I keep it simple with the Alfred automation. As...

BibTex export - protect capitalisation
Dear forum members, I have talked to Jon about it, and he could not find a solution about it. I am using Pandoc citation format, so I export my Bookend file as BibTex. Many of my titles have place names (Bangkok, Thailand, Angkor Wat etc) or royal names (Thutmose III, Tutankhamun, Akhenaten). I woul...

Re: "Scan document" Add-in for Word not working
@iandol,
i thank you for the information and the fact that works in your case. I was wondering however if you are using Word for Mac version 16.0.9.
And from now, I will keep the conversation between you and me.
Thanks.

Re: "Scan document" Add-in for Word not working
Dear Iandol, I thank you for the workflow, but it seems that unscanning still does not work. I looked into the script, but I could not figure out the problem. I see this part in the script: tell application "Bookends" ignoring application responses activate «event bepebepu» end ignoring de...

Dear Jon,
In order to solve the problem, do we need to update to the latest version of Bookends 12.8.1?

Crash pasting URL
Dear Jon, before sending you a tech support request, I am actually copying URLs, as I work over some information from newspaper. As soon as I paste the url into the URL field, in the Bookends 10.8.1, it crashes. It does not happen anything is you just type it for instance. I see a difference however...

Re: Online Search - change to library catalogues available as sources?
Dear Jon, you are right about it. It seems that it is a problem with the proxy service at my university, as it does not let me reach the Oxford University Library. The strange thing is that University of Cambridge works library catalogue instead. The usual case of Oxbridge rivalry. I will dig deeper...

Re: Online Search - change to library catalogues available as sources?
It seems that the Oxford import filter does not work at the moment. The filter points to library.ox.ac.uk/ which seems not accessible. I do not know if it is an accidental glitch, or the page is missing.

Re: Microsoft Word 2016 question for users
I prefer having the Word Add-in as it is now, and change it later whenever the more modern mechanism will be implemented.

Re: Thai authors
Dear Philologist, I thank you for the explanation. Will I be too much inopportune to ask you for both Macros, so using their normal Thai and Western style as well? I am using NIsus, but I have never dealt enough into the Macro language. It is also true that I have seen Thai authors being quoted in t...

Thai authors
Dear Jon, in Thailand, where I work and live is normal to quote authors by name instead of surname as the normal Western usage. So example Kasetsiri, Charnvit (1976), The Raise of Ayutthaya, Oxford: Oxford University Press should be cited as Charnvit (1976), e.g. employing APA. Thus, I would like to...
