Re: Wiley InterScience

I know this is an old topic but I can't get Bookends to import the .txt file exported from Wiley Interscience (exported to Mac format, plain text). I've created a new filter based on RIS, changed the relevant tags to those used in the Wiley citation format and have the "references start with AU...

I use it to sync my laptop and desktop machines. I am a PhD student and often use whatever machine is handy. It makes being mobile and being prepared much easier. thanks again. This will be a big boon to users. IMO, today, apps that manage information and have the ability to sync, are way ahead of t...

Big Home run

Hi Jon,

Just a brief note to say that the latest update is a big home run. Syncing is a godsend!

Congratulations on more great work.

You have full access to Bookends notes now (as they are implemented now) with the configurable concise view. Jon Sonny Software thanks. The first time I tried to type in the notes field from the concise view, I couldn't (must have been my system). Works great. thanks again for the bang-up update.

While I'm late to the party, I would like to add support for notes capability within the list view.

Actually that looks quite nice as well. :)

Can the list view be "done" similar to that?

Hi, Yes, that's clearer. Note that the reference window and the preferences can't look the same. The latter has a toolbar and a grow box. But I might be able to get it the look a little closer... Jon Sonny Software While the post may have been clearer, re-reading it again, I meant changing the list...

Sorry, I should have been clearer. By "main database view" I mean reference window. The list view has the more finished look, similar to the prefs, IMO. If I understand correctly, "expanding the tab panel" would give it a more "mail-like view" (one pixel divider?). Yes,...

A compliment and a request

Hi Jon,

This update is great. Lots of bang for the buck. Well done. :)

A request, (if possible)

Can you bring some of the rounded look from the preferences window to the main database window?

The UI of the prefs look very finished/refined and modern with the two-tone and rounded design.

thanks

+1 for .Mac syncing.

My recent attempt to sync resulted in my adding the bookends database to a 2GB memory stick... but I forgot the actual pdf library.
