Re: Bookends 13 styled text not working
Update: It's working this morning! Problem solved. I didn't change anything -- didn't open FontBook, for instance. It was working fine before the update, and is working now. I can't explain why for numerous references I entered last night, it wouldn't take italics, but now, all is good.

Bookends 13 styled text not working
After just updating to Bookends 13, I'm not getting text in the Main tab to display with an italic (or any other) style. Anyone else encountering this?
PS: Am using Sierra 10.12.6, not yet upgraded to High Sierra.

Just my 2 cents
I would really love to have this feature, too! Thanks for considering it.

FWIW
For what it's worth, I vote for the drawer also (in order to see everything at once). Yet a tab would be okay, too -- I also agree with the person who said early in this thread that many fields only need to be seen at the time of entry, and then are often ignored forevermore. However, regardless of ...

Ditto to TLS
I do own Bookends, and hope to be able to use it someday when it supports a sufficient number of fields for humanities research (I'm an early modern historian). For now, however, I just want to say ditto to TLS: "I will be happy with all the usual fields, plus Series Editor, Series, Series Volu...

PS
Danzac, Yes, aesthetics are important to me, also, and I do like your second (Photoshop) layout very much. Markau: I completely agree with your post, especially this: >>This is particularly the case in view of the 'info draw', which is a great thing, especially when combined with the 'View formatted...

GUI and more fields - examples of need for more fields
In my University Dept, we require our graduate students to use Turabian as a reference guide, and many journals in my field use it also. I have racked my brain trying to figure out how to construct different reference formats in Bookends to come up with the various reference types in Turabian. Maybe...

Hi there Zac, I agree with your take on the simplicity of the interface. That feature of Bookends is extremely valuable to me, too, so I appreciate your suggestions on adjusting those fields to a single space height which wouldn't clutter it up. Some way of adjusting tab order between fields would b...

Example of need for dedicated Translator field?
Hi everyone, Like you, I love Bookends and have just committed to importing all my references into it, despite the excruciating lack of extra fields (which is its most onerous limitation for my purposes in the humanities). But Bookends' stability, user friendliness, integration with Mellel, etc., ma...
