Is it possible to create library from Word doc?

If a Word document has been populated with Bookend references, is it possible to create a new library from this document?

Re: Incorrect PDF download

Hi Jon,

Resurrecting an old issue --- still not resolved. Is it me or Bookends?
Try getting the PDF for the following to PMID articles -- they pull up the wrong PDFs
PMID: 19429049
PMID: 19686738

I'd be really grateful if you can resolve this issuse.

Re: PDF attachment -- printing

Okay, okay I'll stop talking to myself after this :? , but I did find out an answer to my print question, which I will put here in case someone else searches the forum for the same question in the future. If you turn WebKits off (click on the Action button -- looks like a cog -- at the bottom), then...

Re: PDF attachment -- printing

Okay, so I'm partially answering my own question. I was looking at the attachment in a cumbersome way --- by double clicking on the reference then clicking the Attachments pane/button. Much simpler, of course (now I know), is to use the View (menu)/Attachments (or click the icon at the bottom of the...

PDF attachment -- printing

Having a PDF of the reference is very useful, but sometimes I would actually like to print a hard copy from within Bookends. This doesn't seem possible (and I've searched this Forum for other solutions) --- is there a way? Also, I would sometimes like to copy and paste from the attached PDF (from wi...

Re: Incorrect PDF download

Okay, thanks. I thought you had the power to fix all problems remotely ; - )

I'll await the final release of 10.2.1.

Re: Incorrect PDF download

Hi Jon,

I just installed 10.2.1 beta, but I still get the incorrect PDF for the above mentioned reference.

Incorrect PDF download

We've come across an odd error in the Get PDF (PubMed); a reference with PMID: 18093169 in the Bookends database, will retrieve a different PDF when using the Get PDF command (gets PMID: 18093172). Any ideas?

Hi Jon,

That sounds good. One more question: if I have a MS Word document with Bookends inserted citations, for example {Smith and Jones, 1972, #29688} can an EndNote user with the imported library format the original document?

Thanks,

Paul

*Very* interested in Bookends as a replacement to EndNote

Like others posting on the BookEnds forum, I'm a long-time EndNote user (since it was beta!) looking for something better. However, there is one thing holding me back from buying a 10-user license. Is there a way to share libraries and documents with Windows users? A cross-platform solution would ma...
