File attachment bug
Using BE 9.1, I am running into an odd error when trying to attach PDFs to new references. (I've been able to do this without a hitch in the past.) I can create the references and enter data into them without any problem. I can bring up the dialog box for attaching a file, and select a file. But whe...

I second that (group browsing)
I second xaxa's request: I would very much like to be able to browse through the refs in whatever group I have open in the main application window using the arrow keys (or arrow buttons) in the open ref window.

No improvement with 10.4.7
Just installed the update, and I'm still seeing 13-14 seconds for initial launch. Glad to know improvements are coming!

Some basic benchmarks
Jon, I appreciate your need to have users' qualitative impressions backed up with actual performance data. I finally got around to running a very mini-shootout to test Bookends' performance on a G4 vs on an Intel Core Duo. The test beds: a MacBook Pro 15" 1.83 GHz with 1.5 GB RAM vs. a PowerBoo...

FWIW, example of SFX at Harvard
I would love to see SFX functionality added to BE. It's the one EndNote feature that I miss. There's more info here about the implementation of SFX at Harvard University's libraries (my home institution).

A note of encouragement
Jon, Just a note of encouragement for getting out the universal binary. Using Bookends 9 on my MacBook Pro 1.83 GHz, there is a noticeable lag when the app launches (on the order of 10 seconds), and second-long lags when selecting new references or reference lists in the main window. The app remains...

Can't handle author first name beginning with number
I have a reference in which the author is a corporation with a name that begins with a number (3M Inc). I am using a custom reference type in which I force Bookends to format the author name as entered, without abbreviation. For some reason, it insists on formatting this reference as "M Inc&quo...

Sentence case fails to properly capitalize following colons
Bookends fails to properly capitalize following colons when auto-formating book or journal article titles in sentence case. For example, what should read as "A short title: A short book" Bookends renders as "A short title: a short book". This failure to capitalize the word follow...

Bookends broken with Office 2004 Service Pack 2
After installing the Office 2004 Service Pack 2, I get an error message on launching Word: "There was an error loading Microsoft Framework." The Bookends toolbar and Tools menu additions are also missing. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Office. Same deal: updating with SP2 break...
