I'm taking a class where the prof wants us to use parenthetical citations that look like this: (Benware, Survey of the NT, 193). I have no idea what style guide this is.
Anyone have any idea what style guide this is?

Re: Add-In Folder Missing in Word 2016
I've been researching this a bit, and it looks like 15.29.1 has caused all kinds of different problems, but not everyone has been affected. A related issue seems to be that I can no longer paste as citation from Accordance Bible Software into Word and have Word properly insert a footnote as it used ...

Re: Add-In Folder Missing in Word 2016
Yikes. In situations like these, I always assume others have had the same problem, too. Perhaps I can offer more details. Here's what I'm using: Bookends 12.7.7 MS Word 15.29.1 I couldn't figure out how to post images here in the forums, but here's an Evernote public link that shows placement of fil...

Add-In Folder Missing in Word 2016
Perhaps this is the result of getting a new MacBook Pro and running Migration Assistant to move everything over, but my Add-Ins tab in MS Word is missing. Following the instructions in the Bookends User Guide, I went to Bookends: Help: Show Bookends Folder in Finder. Following the instructions in Sc...

Sandboxing and the Mac App Store version of Bookends
Will Apple's new sandboxing policy for applications sold in the Mac App Store affect Bookends?

Re: Formatting error in subsequent citations
Thanks--that worked.
Question, if I'm using Turabian, and I go to scan a document, should I set the dialogue box to scan with the format of Turabian or Turabian footnotes. What's the difference between the two options?

Formatting error in subsequent citations
Here's the scenario: In the current chapter I'm writing, I have two sources by the same author. One is a journal article and the other is a book. I've confirmed that I have them categorized correctly. When I went to cite the book a second time (using a Turabian footnote), Bookends correctly offers a...

are you sure the port number is correct? seems kind of unusual to me… It's the same port number that was used back before they switched servers and it DID work. If you go to library.sbts.edu and click on catalog, it looks like the port is 8991, but that doesn't work either. Our fellow in charge o...

No. I just tried to connect by loading the trial version of Endnote 9 for Windows into VirtualPC and I can't connect. I think the problem has to be squarely with them in something that changed when they switched servers. But I have no idea where to look to help them determine what's wrong. They don'...

I'm going to bring this back up since I've never been able to get it to work. I was able to access my school's database until they changed the server. Let me throw out the settings, and if anyone has some time and want to try to get in, perhaps you can determine if I'm doing something wrong. Everyth...

Yeah, I did. I'm really stuck. I realize that it's a library issue but it's frustrating and the reference librarian says his worked (he uses a Windows program) just by changing the server address. I can't imagine why mine wouldn't work now. The only thing I can think of is that it wouldn't work if h...

import filter no longer working
On Monday, my school's library changed its IP address that's used to access the catalog. The only thing that's changed (supposedly) is the server address field in the setup. I met with our reference librarian today and he gave me the new address. But it's not working with the new address (or the old...

I think a lot of people got that error (regardless of whether they were Bookends users or not) if they didn't restart after the update. You would think that Microsoft would tell you after you run the update that you need to restart, but oh well... Anyway, I've run the service pack, restarted, and te...
