Yes, the particular citation is a book. In fact, this behavior is effecting all of my intext citations of books in this particular document. Would it make a difference if some of the book records in the DB had page numbers in the "pages" field and others did not. I have noticed that when I...

In other words, the colon and space will be output only if there is a page or page range cited. If the p field is empty, then the colon and space are not output. Here is the pro...

Thanks. I intended to write colon. I guess I need to proofread everything that I write! Your formatting solved the problem. I do have one question. How did you now about the ~ symbol. Thanks for responding. I thought of creating a new Type, but wasn't sure if I could manipulate output in the way you suggest. Now I'll explore that option. It sounds as if it will resolve the difficulty.

Some help on this problem would be greatly appreciated. Let me restate my question in an attempt to clarify what I am asking. If a text has a single person as editor, commentator, author, or any combination of more than responsibility, how does one enter the bibliographic information into Bookends. ...

Editors as commentators

Hi folks, I'm trying to make the switch from NotaBene (a Windows only WP/Biblio database/search database program) to Bookends and Mellel. I have a question about how to handle editions of primary texts that have the same person as editor and commentator. I have in mind something like an Oxford Class...
