It can't sort by author and then by date, for the titles of the same author? If it can't, its not that important, but since the sorting by author-date-title is what we do in publishing and reports I assumed It would be done by default in the specialized software.

Can´t be that easy because I only type the four numbers in the date field, nothing else: like 1823, 1976, 2006, and so on. I also checked date fields and author fields to see if there was blank spaces, but no, everything is ok. Also yesterday I even exported my database to another bibliographic sof...

Sort in List View

Hello! In list view I can have authors sorted, but the references of the same author are not sorted by date (I have author-date-title) in list view. I work with a growing list of 1313 references and have authors with many references. I sorted list in the reference menu and I also have chosen sort in...

I did a complete rebuild of the database and it solved the problem completely, thanks.
Now I have just to add the smart groups again, when needed, but I had too many anyway. On the plus side, the size of the database file dropped from 15 to 5 Megabytes.

Thanks again.

Sorry. My english is not good enough for details (portuguese mother tongue here). I was just asking if it is possible to have the Bookends version for OS 10.2 in other format (not .dmg) because there is a bug (or so) in OS 10.2 that makes opening .dmg impossible in some cases, with no easy solution ...

Both result in a .dmg file my eMac OS 10.2.8 can't open, due to error 95, that as far as I know is the result of a bug in the operative system.

I have two questions:

Can Bookends 9.0.4 version for OS 10.2 and version for OS 10.3 and above, share the same files?

Since my eMac 10.2.8 still can't mount Bookends .dmg compressed files due to error 95, woudn't be better to have Bookends 9.0.4, version for 10.2, compacted in any other format except .dmg format?

Thanks.
