I am currently using the scrivener-bookends-Word-combination for articles, but for the final manuscript of my dissertation, I am considering switching to LaTex. Is it possible to scan TEX documents or maybe the scrivener document itself?

Hi Jon, when I use the small screen of my macbook in other applications, the zoom level depends on the pdf file I am viewing. Because neither Devon or Preview display the current zoom levels, I can only estimate a number. Most of the time, 250% should be sufficient, but 300% / 350% zoom is just as u...

As a workaround, I open the pdf in preview and then copy the text into my notes field. Still, this procedure in my eyes is quite tedious and could be improved. In both Scrivener and DevonThink for example, it is no problem to copy text from any imported PDf that contains text. Actually, the prospect...

copy/paste text from PDF attachment
I have several PDFs that contain text as an extra layer. I imported these PDFs from DevonThink, where they went through an OCR. In Preview, I can select text in these PDFs and copy and paste it into other apps. In bookends, it does not work. this is quite annoying when I take notes. Please change! M...

folders for groups
when working on my dissertation project with Bookends, (smart) groups become more and more important. A problem when working with many groups is organization: In iTunes, this is a lot easier with folders, where groups can be organized and sub-grouped. Wouldn't this be a useful feature for bookends a...

working it is, thank you I will
Hi,
finally my freshly-bought software seems to be working! Thank you for answering so soon - now I enjoy using bookends again. (And thanks to the recent Mellel upgrade, I will enjoy both programs even more...)
Thank you,
Markus

problem with endnote clipboard content
Please be patient with a new user: my library server (http://kug1.ub.uni-koeln.de/portal/opac?view=all) offers to display selected records as "endnote"-compatible. For example, when I copy the displayed text, I get a clipboard content as such: %A Lee, Hermione %T Philip Roth %C London %I M...
