I am able to use either Hits or Attachments to form virtual groups, however, when both are selected, Attachments is ignored.
BTW, thanks for adding the attachments group...I kept meaning to request it as a feature...

Re: New web site feedback
Oops, I found that you already have version changes under "What's New"....although you seem to reply pretty quickly...did you just do that for me in the last 60 seconds?

Re: New web site feedback
I like the colors. The logo on the top right is a little pixelated. Also, could you add a menu item that directs to the outline of changes in each version? I've seen the page before but I always have a hard time finding it.

Re:How Do You Use Bookends
I have 2 main libraries that I pretty much use on a daily basis. I am a scientist and have many images stored on my hard drive. I use BookEnds to keep them organized and easily searchable. I have another library with over 6000 references and many different groups that I combine in various ways to ma...

First, when I tried to sync directly to idisk online it took about 15 minutes using wifi at a local coffee shop (I don't know their connection speed). Next, I used the system preferences to put idisk on automatic sync with my computer. Then I synced the one on my idisk image with my local database. ...

Thank you!
The syncing works great! I had some problems syncing with my database on idisk at work, but i think there's a firewall issue. At home and at a local coffee shop it worked really well!
Thank you so much!

I love the idea from RefBase! I'll try that first and hope that the long term plan works out. I did check out chronosync. The only thing i really don't care for is you have to buy a separate license for each computer, which is sort of strange since its purpose is to synchronize at least 2 computers ...

When I'm working on a manuscript or a grant, I am using the same files at both home and at work. My main library is 50 MB and I often forget to put it on a flash drive to carry back and forth. It's fairly easy to send other docs back and forth with FileChute and I can track changes with ms word. I'm...

.mac
I love .mac and find it very convenient, although I suppose it would be a lot to ask for folks to spend an additional $95/year to be able to use a sync feature with Bookends. I have a program called FileChute from Yellow Mug software. You can drag any size file (depending on how much room you have o...

Use BookEnds to organize and reduce paper clutter
I was looking at a program called paper tiger to organize all of my paperwork, however it is only available for windows. Then it dawned on me that BookEnds can be used this way! So now, when I have a hard copy reprint or other paper I need to find, I have the physical location and folder name entere...

formatting biblio - upper and lower case in same field?
I am having a difficult time formatting the bibliography for a certain journal. I need to have the authors names and initials in upper case. But, I also need to insert the word "and" in lower case between the last two authors. ex: BUNNY, E., RABBIT, J.C., CLAUS, S., KRINGLE, K. and CLAUS, ...
