You could just have a custom "classification" field and do the data entry by hand… which is a bit ugly, and probably requires a piece of paper or a Sticky somewhere to keep track, but would probably work.

I work on both a laptop and a desktop computer. I'm just wondering whether my licence for Bookends is per-user or per-machine: can I install it legitimately on both without buying a new licence?
