Re: Global Spell Checking

I will just say this. I'm still at 10.6.3, and, just out of principle alone, refuse to upgrade to 11 or above, unless spell checking is implemented. I can't think of any other application on my Mac right now in which I do as much, or even less, typing as I do in Bookends, that does not have either a...

Re: how use bookends browser

Hi, I'm trying to use this feature on FirstSearch/WorldCat website (http://firstsearch.oclc.org/), but I never get the button to download the citation. My library catalogue doesn't work, and neither does Harvard's Hollis catalogue. In fact, I've so far been able to find only one site that this worke...

Global Spell Checking

I guess my years-long dream of seeing OSX's global spell checking in Bookends is not coming true. In that case, could at least parts of the app. incorporate it? Specifically, what I'm thinking is the "Notes" tab. I do a lot of note taking there and that's where I could use spell checking t...

Minor issue with Harvard U filter

Hi, I wonder if anybody knows a way to fix this. I've noticed that the Harvard U (Hollis) filter has problems with some accent symbols. For example México always comes out as M^xico The exact same reference at the Library of Congress would be imported fine, and they're both set to the same text enc...

OK, so I noticed that the crash doesn't happen with everything. In fact, I've tried many and I've only been able to reproduce it twice, one of which I can't remember the reference to. The other I know, because that's the book I wanted to import. Log on to LOC and search for "Lost Shores". ...

Library of Congress inport problem?

Just noticed this with 9.1, where doing a web search @ Library of congress and trying to import will always crash Bookends. Tried in 9.0.8 on the same computer and no problems. I'm running it on an Intel/iMac (Core 2 Duo). If you can't reproduce it, I can give you the crash report, Jon. Thanks for y...

Re: UB

It's silly to want Universal Binaries for that. Have you heard of SpellCatcher X? It gives you a much more full-featured system-wide spellchecker (and more) that works in just about any app -- and also integrates with OS X's system wide spellchecker! I hadn't known about this app, but I still stand...

UB

In time we do plan to transition to Universal Binaries. Jon Sonny Software Wow, did I read that right? You're planning a transition to UB? Does that mean you'll be coding in X-Code? The reason why ask is because one of the very few things I feel lacking in Bookends is it not taking advantage of OSX...
