Bookends 10.1.3 will use the proxy info it finds in System Preferences automatically. So make sure the proxy setup there is correct. The username/password is there if you are going through an authenticating proxy server. Jon Sonny Software yeah, i guess that's my question - how do i set it up "...

How do I use a "proxy" server?
I can login to my university's library webpage (beckerproxy.wustl.edu), supply my username:password, and from there search Pubmed (via a web browser) with access to all PDFs through our subscriptions. I can also login to our VPN, and then fire up Bookends to search pubmed and download all PDFs. HOWE...

largest usable database?
I've got my internal cache set to 200mb - I've got 1gb of RAM... is there a limit to the size of the database that i can have? i currently have one with ~40000 references, and it's 195mb... it seems like it's getting a bit large for the program to deal with effectively...
