Re: Scrivener Problem
Yes, Bookends is checked in the Accessibility panel. Still doesn't work. Very strange.

Re: Scrivener Problem
Thank you for the answer. I tried all of this, although under Privacy, there is nothing labelled "System Events." Under Accessibility and Automation, Bookends appears to be checked. After resetting System Events by Terminal, I got the prompt to allow Bookends to do its thing, but nothing h...

Scrivener Problem
I am currently using Bookends 14.0.6 and Scrivener 3.3.1 in Monterey. I can get to Bookends out of Scrivener just fine using ⌘Y, but ⌘Y from Bookends won't copy the citation when it goes back to Scrivener. The same is true when I try to copy a citation with ⌘Y from Floating Citations window. ⌘Y does...

Find reference by unique ID
I haven't been able to find an answer to this on the forums or the User Guide. In an old text document, I have a unclear reference, as a citation, from Bookends with the ID# given. I would like to know if there is still a reference in my database with this ID#, but a simple search by ID# doesn't wor...

Re: Creating new static group from bibliography
Many thanks!I knew there had to be a way to do it. I forgot that a scan puts all references in the hits folder.

Creating new static group from bibliography
Hi-- This is probably a feature request, unless I have missed it searching User Guide and the forums. I've been inserting references individually into a document, scanning it and creating a bibliography. I would like to create a static group of all the references in this document (as "Books on ...

Notes background color
On p. 257 of the User Guide, it says that we can choose the background color for notes, under the "Lists" area of the preferences. But there is no option for this either on the image of the User Guide itself (p. 255), or with my copy of Bookends (12.7). Is this a mistake?
Thanks,
Peter R.
Thanks,

Re: Bookends 12.5 Feedback
12.5 is a great new look! I would also second the request to put publisher and location above notes and abstract, or have the ability to change the location. I don't need a separate edit window, since I have a second monitor to place the PDF files. I do have another small request--in the groups pane...

Re: Mellel scanning problem
Thank you--I knew it must be something obvious. But I don't remember ever having separate formatting fields for bibliography and citations, and I don't remember seeing anything about this (major) change, if it was new. I understand why there might be need for this, but is there any way (eg, a check ...

Mellel scanning problem
I'm not sure if this is for the forums, or customer support, or if this is a Bookends or Mellel problem. I have been able to scan Mellel documents with no problems up until last fall, and haven't changed anything except for updates. But today when I scanned my current document, it goes through all t...

Re: Hypertext links
Thanks. You might want to add this to the user manual, where the only method shown (so far as I know) is dragging the ID# over from the reference window.

Hypertext links
I can't find the answer in the user guide or by searching the forums. I like to put the hypertext links into my documents by dragging ID# from the reference window to the document. This seems only to work, however, when the reference is opened in the separate Reference window. I cannot drag the ID# ...

Re: Possible bug..
Thank you. I somehow missed the command to open in library view, as well as the edit reference toggle in the View menu. Everything is fine now.

Possible bug..
I'm not sure this is the correct place to report this, but I noticed a problem this morning when opening BE (11.2.2). Yesterday, I set the references to open in a reference window, not in the main library window. When I opened BE this morning, the main library window refused to open in any database....
