Re: Mountain Lion compatibility

Hi Jon, I've sent you a support mail regarding the first issue. With respect to the second issue, I still have problems resizing even though I use the window Zoom button only: http://cl.ly/IktD - As you can see, the notes pane are missing, as are the buttons in the lower right corner. This is still ...

Re: Mountain Lion compatibility

I've stumpled upon a problem. BE sometimes seem to create two windows, of which one is greyed out and have a spinning wheel: http://f.cl.ly/items/1O1G1x203B1a3F18120C/Screen%20Shot%202012-08-01%20at%2010.58.49.png http://f.cl.ly/items/3a36323E1p280M0f3M0I/Screen%20Shot%202012-08-02%20at%2010.16.38.p...

Re: Searching PubMed broken 2/15/2012

That HUD is actually imposed by WebKit, bypassing our own code (i.e. we don't control it). We do provide many ways to download pdfs. If you tell me from where you were trying to download it (e.g. Bookends Browser) I can tell you how to do it. Jon Sonny Software Hi Jon, It was exactly that, the Book...

Re: Searching PubMed broken 2/15/2012

Jon, that is super great news! It was beginning to get a bit cumbersome to reference mine and download via the built-in browser (even though I discovered a few things ;) ). Btw, I can't seem to get the download working; nothing happens when clicking this: http://f.cl.ly/items/2u2x3m3Z2N0O3O1Q1j3g/Sc...

Re: Searching PubMed broken 2/15/2012

The problem seems to be persistent; I still get "PMID- Supplied id parameter is empty.PMID:" and even drag'n'drop of PDFs seems to be broken:

Re: Searching PubMed broken 2/15/2012

I understand that, though I do not understand why PubMed search in Papers2 is working (they are using the same APIs, right?), while that of BE does not. Have the same problem again; at least BE finds the necessary info when dragging a PDF into BE. Reckon I must patiently wait for PubMed to work norm...

Re: Searching PubMed broken 2/15/2012

Sorry about that. However, the search worked fine on their site; thus I thought it might be a "communication" problem relating to possible changes at pubmed's end.

Re: PDF Reader notes

I'll vote for this feature as well. Didn't know about the advantage of embedded notes feature; so far I've just c/p notes (mark all in sidebar in Skim and pasted them in the note stream in BE. However, it's a bit cumbersome task in the long run and sometimes I tend to forget to do it.

Re: Searching PubMed broken 2/15/2012

Jon, there might be problems with pubmed again. Can't seem to get searching going. Only thing that's returned is either There are no matches or PMID- Supplied id parameter is empty.PMID: every second time. I've tried the same search terms successfully directly on pubmed.

Re: Removing Field Codes

I have tried to rescan a document, with the "Retain hidden citations" unchecked. It unscans and rescans but I still have the field codes in my Word document. Am I doing something wrong? FYI: Word and BE are both newest versions and OS X is Lion.

Re: Which background do you prefer?

• Sort the single column view in the library window Right-click, or click on the Action pop-up, to sort by the following fields (secondary sort in parentheses): Author (Date), Title (Date), Date, Date Added, Date Modified, Type (Date). The Date Added and Modified sorts are descending (i.e. most rec...

Re: Which background do you prefer?

I really like the wide screen view options, with the attachments shown to the right and a higher references pane; however, being in this new, modern look, I miss the opportunity of choosing to list the references according to date added. Is that something you'd consider to implement some time in the...

Re: Bookends for iPad

That's good news; like others here, I eagerly await the coming of the BOT!

Can you let us in on some details, as how the sync features will work, i.e. via wifi, hardwiring only, etc.?

Thanks! :)

Re: Any Lion Issues?

I have just updated BE to the latest version and upon first restart, it came with prompt saying it installed some components in the library. Otherwise than that, no problems, FYI.

Rename attachment bug

Hi Jon I think I have found a bug. When renaming attachments in the attachments inspector BE suddenly looses track of which reference you are in. My BE contains a lot of attachments with (almost) arbitrary names so I've decided to rename them all, taking a dusin or two once in a while. However, afte...
