I tried again after I sent it. When I retype the info in the drawer it works now. If I do not it remains garbled. I swear I did not load a Chinese keyboard.
Go figure.

Boy, that was fast.
Yes, I tried again just to make sure. I checked back. I does seem this only happens with the references I added since upgrading.

I tried it and it does not work. I actually have no problems with old references. The problem comes up when I enter a new reference. When I type the info it looks fine. When I open the reference again and look in the drawer it looks like Chinese (or one of those languages...).

Nope, I thought about an empty required field. No luck there.
I'll call it a week-end and look into it again on Monday.

Thanks

Piggy backing on this thread. I am exporting my BE db to use in BibTeX. It worked last week. Now I get this error message when opening in Bib *** -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: attempt to insert nil value It works when I try to export random entries just to test. I imagine one of my entries in...

I had been wondering about that too actually, even though I never used the op cit loc cit in my dissertation (in French). Actually the CMS discourages their use (16.50). I guess it's probably better not to implement their use in BE, unless their use is demanded in other languages and formats where t...

change case

I am having a similiar problem with French titles. In a word like épître BE changes the first letter to give Epître. I cannot enter all the possible combinations of the several languages I use in the Don't Change Case dialog box. Isn't there a way to simply deactivate the Change Case function alt...
