Possessive in Author-Date
Occasionally I want to use the possessive with an author's name in an author-date citation: e.g., Thompson's (1980) argument. Is there a way to incorporate the possessive into the citation in Bookends?

OK. Another idea I had would be to add another option in Mellel when you click on the citation under Exclude from final document, Don't enclose formatted citation, and Suppress superscript, that says "Adjust for in-text citation" or something like that. Would that work?

Jon, I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure it would make for less work than simply manually changing all my citations right before I submit. It might also get confusing to differentiate between the source in its normal form and in the "quoted source" form, e.g., in Mellel they would b...

I've just looked at the user guide, and I'm not sure if metatype will work, but it's new to me, so it might. The problem is this. I notice that these posts are from 2007. Has anything been developed to deal with this issue since then? This is something that my fellow PhD students and I run into all the time.
