Live Biblio in Nisus? (Idle Question)
Well, every so often I lament that Nisus doesn't have a Live Bibliography feature with Bookends like the one in Mellel. I consider switching (back) to Mellel, but can't manage to do that because I don't like Mellel's use of a proprietary format and I'd miss Nisus Find/Replace, Macros, Multiple Selec...

Every 4 or 5 years I have the same question, it seems
At least this time I've discovered my old post...
Am I right in assuming that this still hasn't been fixed?

Re: Feature question/request: Locking groups and folders
Maybe Jon will implement the locking feature. I might even find it useful ;-) In the meantime, here’s another way to get what you’re after, I think. When finished with your article/book, make a new rtf/Mellel/Word/etc document with (nothing other than) all of the in-text temp citations. Store that d...

Re: Feature question/request: Locking groups and folders
How about simply adding to each of the references a unique keyword identifying it as part of the group?
Then you could recreate that group by keyword search. No?

Re: Ulysses/Bookends/Word Workflow Not Working
Yeah, sounds like you just need to change the markup.

Re: quicktag
Note that you can do most of this now with smart groups, but this would be easier for users to understand and maintain (and would do a few extra nice things, like update reference keywords if you edited a keyword in one of these groups). I'm wondering whether your idea here would make it easier/qui...
Re: quicktag
So if the top-level "folder" were a smart search for all refs with keywords, you could nest other smart searches inside that and end up with a single "folder" containing all refs with keywords hierarchically arranged? Do I understand what you have in mind, Jon? I used Sente brief...

Re: Comma overriding Title Case
I get the same result in a new database. Your screenshot has "Title: as entered" I need to have "Title: Title Case" for most entries, which necessitates using the comma to avoid Title Case for foreign language refs. I thought it was the particular format (one I assembled to satis...

Comma overriding Title Case
I’m sure I’m doing something stupid, but can’t figure out what it is. The screenshot tells the story: Although the comma after a title overrides the command to format the title in Title Case, in this one format the comma itself shows up as part of the output. (Of course the comma shows up in the for...

Re: Question regarding the "right pane."
This won't help with references already populated with text in a font/size you don't want, but it will allow you to avoid this problem in the future:
Open Preferences
Choose the Refs tab
In lower right choose
Assign ⌘-V to Paste and Match Style
(I guess you have yours set to Paste)
Cheers
