Re: Chance of AppleScript support expanding (or alternatives

We're always adding features and improving Bookends, and I'd certainly consider expanded AppleScript support, where it makes sense. Having the ability to set the contents of a field is an interesting idea. I'll think about how that. As for modifying the contents of a field programatically -- I have...

Slow text entry in notes pane

When typing in the notes pane, there is a very noticeable lag. Is this just me? Any ideas on how to get rid of the drag?

If you type slowly, maybe 30 wpm or slower, it probably wouldn't be noticeable. Faster than that, it's easily noticeable.

Re: 4 new Applescripts for footnotes, bibliographies, search

buy scripts at paypal.png bobspunt, I don't have the time to get the website up but if you use Paypal I can email the scripts to the email address you use with Paypal. There are two caveats. (1) I haven't tested the scripts with Mavericks. (2) I believe the scripts are straightforward. Obviously, t...

Re: 4 new Applescripts for footnotes, bibliographies, search

I'll be taking my applescript site down on 10/20/2013. Perhaps it will return at some later date. Who knows.

If you'd like to get the scripts or try the demo, head to http://www.scriptsforbookends.com before Monday.

Re: Expanded Turabian

alarob, I've also worked on the Turabian format. I've posted my version on my website: http://scriptsforbookends.com/ The download for the Turabian formats both for BE 11 and BE 12 is on the "Custom reference formats" page. It's not totally complete but it covers quite a bit. If you check ...

4 new Applescripts for footnotes, bibliographies, searches

Bookends offers some really great support for Applescript. I've been working with the Applescript library provided by Jon (aka Bookends support) for about a year now, tweaking scripts and adding capabilities. I've ended up with four scripts with which I'm really pleased. Script 1 creates a footnote ...

Re: Online Search

Hi Jon, Thanks for the reply. Amazing support for BE... It must be something with my settings but I haven't changed anything lately that would affect the Online Search function. At least, I don't think so. I've got version 11.3.1. Just checked and it says I have the latest version. Let me know if I ...

Online Search

I'm suddently having trouble with the Online Search function. All searches, it seems, save for those done on Amazon or Google Scholar, return "Reply is Empty!" or "Init Rejected" or some variation of that. I've tried searches for author, title, etc., for items which I know are in...
