For me, It remembers the size change within a session, but not between launches. Do I have to change something in the preferences? I'm working with a fresh Bookends install on a new MacBook Pro.

Thanks Jon. I wasn't clear in my question. I meant to ask if it was possible to resize individual windows (relative to each other) in the Reference pane. For example, can I enlarge the Abstract window without altering the others? Also, if I resize the Reference Pane window by dragging as you suggest...

Is it possible to resize the windows in the Reference Pane? Specifically, I would like to make the abstract window larger.

I got it to work by copying the text from the existing document (that wouldn't unscan) into a "NEW" blank word file. Unscan then worked fine.
