Re: Great update of reference pane in 14.0.4
I have just noticed that with the recent changes to the reference pane it no longer seems possible to drag text from one field to another. Would it be possible to have this fixed?

Re: Great update of reference pane in 14.0.4
I'm just grateful that there will be the ability to turn off the hints. I might use borders if the option was there, but since the possibility of such a feature had never occurred to me, I would be just as happy without them if they add extra complexity to your code.

Re: Great update of reference pane in 14.0.4
I see now that this happens only when I invoke my clipboard manager, which results in the hint being deselected, and so the hint ends up being left after the pasted text. It would be extremely helpful if the hints could be turned off in the preferences.

Re: Great update of reference pane in 14.0.4
Well, I had one very upset person write to me about how horrible it was to not have some visual guides, just a lot of empty space. And looking back, both Papers and Sente used hints as well (EndNote has gray boxed empty fields, which work too, but I think are less elegant). I suggest you evaluate t...

Re: Great update of reference pane in 14.0.4
I have to say that I prefer the hypothetical "vertical" view. It would also mean that the mismatch between the font size for the labels and that for the text fields (I prefer a larger font size for the text fields) would not be so distracting.

Re: Return key
Rebooting didn't make any difference, but I have now discovered that Shift Return does what Return ought to be doing. It's only in Bookends that Return doesn't seem to be working properly, and so I'm not sure how to resolve it, but in the meantime I suppose I will just have to get used to using Shif...

Return key
Since updating to 12.6.1 (on OS 10.9) the return key does not seem to work in fields in the reference pane, which means for example that one can't add multiple authors in separate lines. Is this a known bug, or just my computer? While on the subject of the return key, up until several updates ago th...

Re: Separate editing window
In the separate editing window, under the Attachments tab, the "Rename PDF" command does not seem to be working. Is this a bug or just a problem with my setup? (I am using Mavericks.)

Re: Separate editing window
I have to say that I agree with Feanaaro. I was glad to see the separate editing window restored, but I was disappointed to find that the old button for adding attachments had been removed. For me, dragging-and-dropping is definitely more cumbersome than going through the Open dialogue.

Re: Feature request: contextualized search results
In the mean time, I would love to hear if anyone knows can this be done in Spotlight or with some simply application or something. I use FoxTrot Personal Search. It is a little pricey but very fast, and you can copy text from a found document from within Fox Trot without having to open the document...

Re: Writing/Organizing Tools
Has anyone tried Selenium?

I haven't tried it because it requires OS 10.5, but I'd be interested to know whether it is as good as it sounds.

Strange behaviour at start-up
During the past couple of weeks, whenever I launch Bookends, instead of the list view appearing, as has always been the case, a reference window (always the same one) appears. To open the list view, I have to go to Window > List View > All. I have tried rebuilding the database, but it has made no di...

Highlight bug?
A couple of updates ago Bookends introduced the very nice feature of highlighting a reference in List View when the corresponding reference window was closed. This no longer seems to be working in the latest update, with the reference being greyed out rather than highlighted. Is there anything I can...
