Re: BE, tex and Lyx
Ok. Getting much much closer now. Export/Import of .bib file successful I've been able to export a .bib file. I've imported the .bib file into the LyX doc. I've inserted a Bibliography. I've added a citation (though I can't recall how to add a page number; it might be as simple as adding text after ...

Re: BE, tex and Lyx
Jon, I corrected the image; I had BibTeX selected as output.
If ever I get this to work, I'll make the walk-through/tutorial myself for others.

Re: BE, tex and Lyx
Since I'm getting issues in BibDesk, and ultimately want to use my BE library with LyX, I will start at the beginning. In Bookends 1. Preferences > Scan & Bib Do you mark anything here? Previous posts suggest that nothing is marked here. _pref_ScanBib.png 2. Preferences > Scan & Bib Accordin...

Re: BE, tex and Lyx
EDITED I used to do my work using XeLaTeX, but it's been a while. I'd like to use LyX with BE, but just need a few things clarified/refreshed. That this involves BE directly, I am posted it here instead of partly on the LyX or XeTeX lists and the BE parts here. The logic being, you are able to use B...

Re: BE, tex and Lyx
On the topic of Lyx and BE, how exactly do you use BE with LyX? Any tutorials or walk-through available, text or video?

Sort Reference Types?
Is there a way to sort the Reference Types? It would be nice to have them alphabetized. As an example, I would like reference type Festschrift to appear just after the E's (see image).
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: SBL Format help!!!
seulgi, I can't reproduce the exact reference you have, even after copying and pasting the format into a new format and trying it in various configurations. 1. What reference type is the record set at? (book, journal, etc) 2. Is this in fact a dissertation? I think it is. There is a good chance that...

I have download 10.2 and installed twice. I have installed the (two ?) updated JSTOR import filters, but still from non of their exported citation formats can I get the import from clipboard to work in BE with either of the JSTOR filters. I had to export as EndNote, and import as a file (slower, but...

I have MARC display data, I've copied, but don't see a MARC display filter. I see the "MARC" in the filter manager, but—.

How do add page number to footnote format with @?
BookEnds: 10.1.4 Mellel: 2.2.7.1 OS X: 10.5.2 I've tried citing both in-text and as footnote and can't get a page number to appear correctly. If I cite as a footnote with the SBL format and add the @ and a number, the page number is not preceded by a comma, and doesn't end with a period. Similarly, ...

Importing: Bookends adding "\" after each element
I have about 10 questions, but I'll do them one at a time...
I imported a .txt citation from JSTOR and it has "\" after each element. What am I doing wrong?
Author\. “Article Title\.â€

Ok, perhaps one last item. When the bibliography generates, the font size won't change to 11 pt. In Preferences, it seems to make no difference if I select the Bibliography font use ; either way it keeps coming out at 12 pt. In Mellel, the preference is set to default with no replacements. I should ...

Guilty. I am coming from a XeLaTeX background. I'm back to word processors for some reasons. Ok, so that solved that. Now, I have the formatting of the citation itself to solve. It has serifed and sans seriffed. Is there a way to set a global font in the BE so that the chapter title and book title a...
