New feature in 10.4.1
GREAT FEATURES!!! Thank you, Jon. Cross references are really great !!! Intuitive, easy and useful. Very interesting the addictment with the book chapters, but this one does not function in my database, I do not know why. I cannot imagine the uses of conditional groups in every day life, but I under...

Re: Italian National library filter
Dear Emilio, the filter you are looking for is ICCU (Istituto Italiano per il catalogo unico), that our friend Jon included in the standard filter. And it works very well !!!!

BE and Pages by Apple
Dear Jon, excuse me if this topic was dealt with in some other discussion. It would be very useful to have a better integration between BE and Pages, like BE and Mellel. I am an old Mellel user, but improvements in Mellel are tooooo much slow, the compatibility with Word and other programs is quite ...

BE, DevonThink, Scrivener
Hi folks, what kind of integration/workflow it is actually possible between BE, DevonThinkPro, and Scrivener (and also Mellel, obviously)?
Can you share your experiences?
Thank you very much !

Bookends & NisusWriter Pro
Hi, Jon
the macros that you deliver for the collaboration BE-Nisus Writer Express does not work with Nisus Writer Pro. If I scan a document written in NWP the macro opens NWE and not performs anything.
What to do?
Thank you

By the way, the prices of Macs are very competitive with PCs if (but only if) you want a computer with the specifications Apple offers. You can buy a PC laptop cheaper than a MacBook, but only because it is lower spec. And to buy a PC laptop with similar specs to a MacBook Pro currently costs more ...

Mac vs Linux, Bookends vs OO
Hi folks, I think that the only serious reason to pay a laptop $ 1000 more, and to buy a MacBook at the same price of a MacBook Pro-like laptop by Dell (e.g.) is the bound of software Bookends + Mellel. Now OpenOffice announced a project aimed to make a kill-app: an extension to provide integrated b...

Re: Bookends + Mellel = Killer Writer's Combo!
Its been a few months since I've tackled a heavy academic writing task. The current releases of Bookends and Mellel are absolutely awesome! Frankly, it's hard to believe how far these applications have advanced since I began using them some two years ago. Jon, thank you! I—along with many others ...

In my opinion Notebook by Circus Pony Software is better than DEVONThink. The last is very very slow on my PowerBook G4, and not very affordable. His functions partially overlapping with BE (absolutely the best computer app with Mellel). Notebook is a slight and very fast app with strong outlining a...
