Re: Parsing BE BiBTeX export to enforce Case in Titles
The "Bracket acronyms in title" setting in preferences has nothing to do with your "don't change case" list. It does what it says -- puts curly brackets around stretches of upper case acronyms. The "don't change case" list is only used when the format calls for the tit...

Re: New video tutorial: Floating Citations
thank you.
Floating Citation is one of the best features of BE. Its universality makes it one of the most functional features ever made by a reference manager.

Thank you for adding the option to remove the delimiters.
This is very useful now.

Re: Amazon gives the **Series** as part of the **Title**
For fun I googled for "books with parentheses in the title" and the first hit listed 13. Jon Sonny Software That is interesting. Have never seen them. OK, I will probably use Keyboard Mastro to help me here. In my field, almost all the books are written unders some book series. Hectic pro...

Amazon gives the **Series** as part of the **Title**
I always get the Series inside the bracket of the Title. @Book{Schlechtweg2018, author = {Schlechtweg, Marcel}, title = {Memorization and the Compound-Phrase Distinction (Studia Grammatica)}, volume = {}, pages = {}, editor = {}, publisher = {De Gruyter Mouton}, address = {}, year = {2018}, keywords...

Re: Citation Delimiters are redundant
This setting is used by Bookends to know where to look for the citations. Jon Sonny Software Do you mean for the scanning? I see. I didn't know their service for the scanning. But, I don't think adding none or off would disturb the scanning. Would it? That option would be nice for those of us who i...

Citation Delimiters are redundant
These delimiters can be directly inserted as part of the format. You can remove them. At least you have to offer the option to turn them off because the format itself offers the utmost freedom to create all types of insertion templates. The bibtex ({}) delimiter, for example, can simply be replaced ...

Re: Very useful script from our @Iandol
I am open to the notion of integrating a global floating palette that would allow one to access Bookends references from within other apps and insert temporary citations (in fact, as this post appeared, I've been working on opening such a window with a double-Option key press, with apologies to Pap...

Very useful script from our @Iandol
I would like to say thank you for @iandol, for his great script https://github.com/iandol/bookends-tools The script has been very useful for me. It liberated me from the quirks of any writing software. Now, I can cite on any application: Markdown editors, RTF editors, Scrivener, Word, online editors...

Re: Order of Notecards in the notestream
And, also, there is a keyword conflict for making quoted annotations and inserting new references (Quick add): CMD+CTL+N in both cases. It is not a big issue; but, could be fixed. I suggest SHIT+CMD+N for the Quick Add (that I did in my preference).

Order of Notecards in the notestream
Comments always appear on top.
Shouldn't their order in the note stream follow their position in the PDF?
I highlighted a text (which goes to be a notecard) and made comments on it. The comment jumped to the top of note stream. This is not good because it breaks away from its source.

PDF reading workflow
How do you guys read PDFs in BE? I usually hit CMD+Shift+O just to open my pdf in PDFexpert (or, Skim). Experimenting with BE today, I found out the Full screen reading is pretty beautiful within BE. I am considering to reading directly in BE. But, i am puzzled about the Notes. Which of the notes do...

Re: [Feature Request] Write reference data into the PDF metadata(xml)
Hi kseggleton
This script suddenly stopped working for me.
Can you look at it please?
There could be a change on BE or OS to break it. I was trying to understand your script. I couldn’t get it.
